64What a vibe. Love the layout of this place and the food is amazing. The presentation and the flavours are all on point. Special mention on the donuts - unlike any usual donuts you may be used to.
Oar has good food and good coffee however the service could be a lot better. On multiple occasions have had to wait 20+ minutes for a take away coffee and occasionally haven’t even been told the coffees were ready resulting in them being cold. Really great location though.
Beautiful spot overlooking the lake, with good food and coffee. You can pretty much always get a table, and I love going here. It can sometimes be be hard to find a park, and the walk from the carpark to the cafe is a little difficult for anyone using a walker.
Amazing breakfast, majestic view, and excellent staff. Definitely a mainstay among my favorites.
Food and service was fantastic. Beautiful setup and setting. Great place to relax and enjoy a great meal
Went twice in 10 days and two interesting experiences. The first one we were overcharged by $20, which the manager noticed and refunded to us. On the second visit I ordered the dish my mother had on our previous visit. When it came out I thought the rice looked a bit odd, and on closer inspection saw it was quinoa. (Which I cannot have). When I took it back to the counter the manager said they sometimes use quinoa when they run out of rice.not mentioned on the menu! They did offer me another choice of meal, but after we had already waited for 40mins for this one, I opted to have the chicken put onto a bed of steamed greens, which was delicious, but not what I had ordered. This has made me hesitant to give a higher review and to rush back.
Delicious food, good coffee, expensive for what you get though. Extremely uncomfortable chairs and stools.
Was at this place today the food was disgusting and would not recommend to eat here coffee too strong food too heavy had a sore belly all day
The location is great and menu looks promising but the service, coffee making, order and table tracking, and quality of food are not quite there. Bit more polish and it could be a really good eatery.
Large serves of food, everyone's meals were delicious. French toast could possibly have been a touch warmer but otherwise nothing really to fault
My first time visiting this place. Food was great, nicely presented and delicious! I didn't quite enjoy the coffee, I thought it's a bit too sour and bitter, but that's just personal preference. Service was fast and attentive. Great view here with plenty of outdo seatings. Will definitely come back again!
Brunch and coffee: Amazing location and surrounds. Very neat and tidy inside and out. Aircon inside or a sunny table outside. Food is presented beautifully and just as delicious. Prices are pretty standard- not cheap but not expensive. Nice coffee but my only criticism was it was a very very small cup. This is quite the hidden gem and we will definitely return.
Not a great selection, service was slow. Ended up only ordering food for the kids and husband and I afterwards went elsewhere
Sensational menu - both brekkie and lunch. And well-priced. I'd hit this six times consecutively just to order all the different dishes I couldn't decide between. Fresh tomato juice Bloody Mary was the icing on the cake. DO IT.
Have been here a couple of times for breakfast. Food is always great but not-so-nice coffee has let the experience down
Update: Hi there, thanks for your response. Last time we went was Sunday March 17th and the coffee was extremely bitter but also very milky. I know this sounds like a contradiction but somehow that's what it tasted like and my husband and I both found our coffees difficult to drink.
Lovely located at the edge of the West Lakes lake, within rowing club complex. Staff is friendly and menu interesting yet simple. Had their muffins multiple times and they are freshly baked in the morning and always delicious. Mork chocolate is one of my faves and they have a range if different darkness. Sweet menu positions are extremely tempting and taste heavenly. Their savoury dishes are tasty too. Overall woukd recommend.
Great cafe on the lake in West lakes that gives unparalleled views as you enjoy your morning coffee, brunch, or hearty lunch. Wide range of brunch, brekky, and lunch options and great coffee to match. I had the zucchini, sweet potato and halloumi fritters which came with hummus and a nice salad which was a decent size without being over bearing.
Be aware the cafe is a part of the rowing centre on west lakes and parking can be bad when competitions are on.
Food is always delicious and the service is great. The venue has a quiet relaxed feel to it with stunning views of west lakes. They have brilliant outdoor area with shade and the big playground nearby is perfect for brunch with kids. Highly recommend.
