64 Nice spot with beautiful view to the lake. They open 7 days a week, which is great!
There’s a separate vegetarian menu but you need to ask for it (maybe because it’s limited?)
Avocado toast was amazing. Vegan burger was too sour for me, though. Perhaps better ask for the oar burger & replace the meat with something veggie, if you don’t mind eating cheese. The fries that come with burger was yummy.
Had one of the best avocado toast meals ever. All the components of the dish complemented each other to create a very tasty meal. I would go there again tomorrow for their avo toast. Other members of my party had the breakfast curry and the almond bostock and they were equally impressed. The con was the the air con struggles on a hot day, but other than that this place is a great find.
My meal was okay, however the toasted sourdough bread was inedible due to the fact it was so hard that the knife would not cut it. I complained & the response given was inadequate. I will not return to the venue in the future.
We had breakfast outside overlooking the lake where the food was superb and staff very friendly and helpful.
SUCH A CUTE SPOT! Went on a busy Sunday morning and the service from the staff was immaculate. Love the view from inside and outside. Delicious coffee. Food was good, however, some bits of food were cold upon serving. Doesn’t bother me too much but my partner’s toast was a little difficult to cut through.
Regardless, lovely spot! Can’t wait for many a summer brunch.
Not designed for group bookings. First time we waited over an hour for food and this time in a group we preordered and the food came out cold. The eggs were cold the whole way through.
Great coffee, good quality food and beautiful service with a smile.
I’ve been coming here on a Sunday for my coffee before a walk around the lake and it really makes my day with the kind service that you receive here.
Had a coffee here yesterday. Payed $5.50, on
Pay wave, yet when it reached my account it was
$5.59.is this legal?
Surely they have to advertise if they intend to charge a surcharge.

Come here all the time and have never been disappointed! Quite pricey, but you get what you pay for. Big breakfast is huge and pancakes are to die for
Absolutely fantastic. It is always too long for me between visits! A lovely place, I need to get to more often.
Love coming to oar with my grandkids on Mondays for their usual pancakes and baby cino.
Just wish they would clean off the dead flies on their window sills?
Beautiful setting and lovely staff however both breakfast meals came out cold… not even slightly warm… bread wasn’t even toasted.hopefully it’s better next time
What a disappointment in a setting with great potential. The menu options are limited, it's loud, the carpark is limited but more spaces are available in the next carpark along but it's free. My biggest problem is the seating in the Cafè, it was very uncomfortable for all of us.
They were busy so coffee took 40 minutes and arrived in take away cups. Meal came fairly quickly but wasn’t warm (cold poached eggs).
Aside from that, all lovely. Maybe avoid going there at 9.30/10am on a Saturday
Went to Oar for the first time this afternoon for the bottomless cocktails. Was served by a young woman named Rachel who was so accommodating and warm and made us feel so comfortable. We had the best time all thanks to this beautiful lady and so grateful for such a nice experience! Thankyou to Rachel and Oar
Second visit here and did not disappoint. Lovely staff, delicious food and great views. Havent tried cocktails yet but on my to do list! Will definitely be back and will be my new 'local'
This place was the best. Amazing coffee and an awesome menu with freshly cooked breakfast, waffles and chicken and the presentation and quality top notch. The go to place. Service was and still is good.
I had friends visit from Melbourne and we went here last Friday, the place was basically empty at 9am, should have been a sign only a couple of tables with people. I called 7: 30-8. I tried to call and book no answer, sent a text, no response. I assumed they were flat out, I was wrong.
The menu is now 1 page of very random food. If you wanted basic eggs on toast, not on the menu. Had to order a big breakfast to get a bit of everything. $28.90…… what the. Add avocado $7 for 4 slices or half of a small avocado which sell for 4 for $2 these days. So to have a decent plate of food $35.90. The scrambled eggs over done, overcooked dry bacon rashes and the beans were cold.
Overpriced, average tasting at best. Just no pride in the food anymore. Severely dissapointed. They have either changed hands and cost cut or they simplified the menu too much and forgot about the quality.
Space for dogs outside, plenty of room for prams and groups inside. Nice view of lake. Always amazing food and coffee
One if my favourite Brunch/Lunch spots.
Many healthy choices & great variety of food
Lovely outlook on the Lake next to SA Rowing. A Hidden Gem
Great coffee. Friendly service and a relaxing location right on the water.
Brunch menu was full of the things I love. Hard to choose and the prices were good too. All my friends are getting in on this out of the way gem!
