Oakden Medical Centre

Absolutely disgusted that the hours are from 8am - 8pm yet I am ringing now at 6.55pm to book an appointment and the clinic is closed. Shame on this awful service for the people in need.you should feel disgraced

My husband and I have been going to this practice for several years and cannot fault them at all! There is a pharmacy and a pathology collection service on site and parking is easy. We see Dr John Joseph, who has always been caring, professional and thorough - but I have had consults with a few of the other practitioners and they have all impressed me with their care and attention. Yes, occasionally you may have a longer wait, but that is because these doctors take time to listen to their patients, rather than hustling them out of the door!

Consistently late and over book doctors, so patients are waiting well over 40 minutes for their appointment!

Its really shocking. I called for an oppointment as I was severely sick, but the receptionist told me I cannot give you an appointment because you are not our existing patient, she said she had to keep the appointments for their existing patients!
So other people do not have any right to visit a gp because they are not your current patients? This place do not care about people or morals. There should be a fine or something about places like this

I have been attending this practice with my son for approx five years, and can't recommended the clinic enough. Dr Leslie Mapala has provided great care and advice, particularly around mental health issues, and recently treated my son (administering the least painful flu vax he's had). I am happy seeing any Dr at the clinic, and highly recommend Dr Pulak Sarker as a primary caregiver for children and teenagers; Dr Anjalee Goyl; Dr Mark Waksmundzki and Dr Claire Dobson. Appointments are never rushed, I've never had to wait longer than about 20 minutes for my appointment, and the level of care provided has been excellent. Thank you!

Saw Dr Leslie Mpala, first visit was fine, the wait was long but I don't see that as something anyone can do anything about. My problem with my experience was to try some medication and come back in 10 days. I did exactly as told and attended another appointment 10 days later. Went through a long wait again, when I saw the doctor I was told, "oh you haven't given the medication enough time to work, you have to give it 30 days". That was my whole appointment. Honestly, felt like I was being milked for an appointment just to make money. Highly unethical, haven't been back since as I was used and had my day wasted for someone else's gain. I've seen many doctors who are not all that great and don't both writing a review, but this case was next level of being used. As a result I just manage my condition rather than finding a resolution as it is mentally taxing being screwed around. Now if I wanted a remedy I would have to go to another doctor and go to two more appointments to be referred to a specialist, I simply do not have the time anymore so I just live with my struggle.

Rang today to book an appointment and they said they are not taking new clients despite advising for new clients vigorously on Facebook!

Oakden is an amazing practice, that goes above and beyond to help. Having two little boys with disabilities, it is difficult to navigate regular dr's appointments without facing judgement or criticism from people who don't understand, but the dr's and staff at Oakden always make us feel welcome and help if a difficult situation arises! Bravo!

I used to readily, recommend this Centre.
Now I find on two occasions, a provider who wont provide.

Was told this was bulk billed and I always come to the desk after my appointment to ensure I don't have to pay anything, 8 months later I'm being threatened with legal action for not paying the gap when I asked at the desk after my appointment if I had anything to pay. Won't be coming back

So I had a appointment on 14/11/19 at 3: 30 PM.
Just like all of the people reviews saying Dr Mapala. I had to wait 45 mins to see a doctor because I feal over and hit my head. He was soo slow and didn't even talk much. How can he be a doctor? I don't even request for you to see him! The doctor that I do request are Dr Chris Bollen. Like WTF. And this hasn't happened 1 time, It has at least happened 6 times already. I geuss if this happens 1 more time I am going to let the frount dest know.
Like I am soo sick and tired of it.

Couldn't give 0 star otherwise I would have done that.made appointment to see Dr. Mapala and he was rude, disrespectful and didn't even greet. But that's fine, the worse part is that he doesn’t 't know any thing about medication. I was suffering from a viral flue and he prescribed pain killer. Thanks to Dr. Mapala

An excellent community medical centre! Top notch facilities. Doctors, nurses, Allied Health care workers, and the admin staff are all excellent! Really good, all-round medical care. Plus well equipped with blood testing and pharmacy on site.

Dr Hubczenko & Nurse Karen Pippen are professional and faultless running Asthma Clinic. The knowledge I have gained throughout their expertise has without a doubt given great health benefit to my severely asthmatic child. They have given me the knowledge required to confidently assist my child with greater confidence & success. Having attended the centre for many years I can honestly say the service is second to none. The doctors at Oakden Medical Centre are professional and attentive. I highly recommend this medical centre.

Dr Jane Mittelstadt would be the best doctor that I have found in a long time. Listens well and takes you seriously.

Wait times are usually quick & staff are all friendly & helpful. Dr Michaela Baulderstone is excellent, a very thorough doctor.
I love that this surgery is autism friendly, if only there were more surgeries like this!

My 6-year-old daughter was made to wait 45 minutes with high temperature and reception staff was extremely rude and co-descending to my children.
