Nullarbor Roadhouse reviews
64Awesome facilities in the middle of nowhere! Cold Pint of beer and a great unpowered site.
NATIONAL HIGHWAY#1 ROBBERY Id like a refund, that money could of paid for fuel not old provaly off food. Food was disgusting, never in my life seen Silverside so tough and chewy and gross, it's a real shame because further back towards WA we got the best steak sandwich for 15. Then you serve that putrid excuse for a meal for like 30 hahaha would of said something but I wasn't in a great mood and needed rest. Would never even use motel after that food, which is a shame because the room was decent. Did the job, but that food was an utter disgrace to Australian country cooking and who ever did that should be ashamed honestly.i work in a kitchen and if I served that my head chef would tell me to leave and not come back. Pull ya frigging head in christ. Haha now try and act like I never stayed there and like I didn't get the worst silverside in australia haha. Worst food. Hands down, the price of carrying jerry cans and a cut lunch is a small price to pay to avoid this horrible food and petrol prices.
Best burgers on the Nullarbor. Huge improvement from 2 years ago. Quick service and good food.
Just love this iconic Roadhouse with all the memorabilia. Great for souvenirs, meals in the pub, take away food and cabins and camping at the back. Clean toilets and showers and rustic camp kitchens to escape the sun and the wind. Petrol and diesel prices - ouch - but it is what it is. Great atmosphere with all the tourists from everywhere and the constant road trains and oversize loads pulling in and pulling out. Cannot drive past and not stop here.
Bed sheet's so dirty.yuck white stuff on it and pillow's smelly.well. I should've driven another 300km to Ceduna.
Busy roadhouse, on the trip across the paddock. Great meals and the staff are really helpful. Recommend a meal in the bar, washed down with a few of your favourite drinks.
Motel rooms are basic, and very comfortable. A good overnight stop on the way back from Perth.
Travelled through overnight in February 2023 was one of the best trips I ever made. Customer service was excellent cabins were awesome Dog friendly excellent Incredible experience to stay would definitely do this trip again
Pauline.
We were told via phone to pay on arrival dispite wanting to pay upfront, however after travelling all day from Mandurah we were told on arrival that no space was available due to filming crews were on site we asked any tent sites or even a cabin was available to be told that they were fully booked and to try the next site which was we found out closed due to covid, so had to try the site after that, which we would be hard pressed to make before dark, the manager seemed uncaring for our predicament
Filthy and Rude - What a combination
They charge $165 a night for a room that is crawling with bugs and hasn't been updated since what looks like the 60's.
They also offer free internet, but they don't really. They give you a story that it's Telstra's fault as so they can't offer the internet because it affects their payment system due to poor internet coverage.
You then click on the internet online and they can somehow offer you paid internet.
What a bunch of jokers who prey on travellers passing through never to return again. The manager was in constant hiding and when I did speak to him, he had a constant smirk on his face as he obviously found the whole internet issue funny.
Stay clear of this place if you can
Date of stay: April 2022
Yeah don't bother coming here for food, with only ever one person cooking and 5 waiters, you'll be waiting for over half an hour for a simple hot dog.would rate 0 out of 5 if possible.
Beautiful staff, we were asked by management if we could take a Jerry can of fuel to someone who had ran out of fuel 20k towards WA border I said no problem good deed done
$145 for 1 traveller for 1 night (arrived at 5pm left before 6am) no wifi, no Optus coverage fyi
Incredible experience like a stop on the moon!
You can’t miss the picture with the vintage service station!
The station got everything you can expect from a roadhouse!
Staff was really nice and helpful
What a great little oasis in the middle of nowhere! Super warm and friendly staff, with great food. I would have posted a photo of the schnitzel but I was too hungry! Bacon and egg rolls are on point as well!
The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable with plenty of room.
Heaps of room to park the truck out the front as well.
Well priced food and drink considering you are a full days drive from Adelaide.
Will definitely drop in again on my way through next time!
The owners and staff really understand hospitality! Thanks for having me!
Burgers weren't as good as we thought for 24 dollars each. Caramel lattes were terrible but the chips were the best thing. Powered site was good saw a snake stayed in caravan lol
Changing my review, external factors leading up to our arrival at the roadhouse impacted my opinion.
The roadhouse presents well, we have been there several times over the last decade. Friendly staff and a great place to stop and stretch your legs.
Just wish we got there in time before closing hours this last trip across.
The staff are very friendly and know the area well.yhe lime caves are hard to fine but a fun trip.
The current managers are lovely. Very hardworking and aiming to please. Dinner and dessert was delicious - large serves of quality food for good value prices. Room was clean and spacious enough for what we needed. We’ve stayed here before and will do so again. Well worth the stop. Yes, the store is expensive, but the roadhouse is in the middle of nowhere with high running costs so it’s to be expected at all outback places. Thanks so much.
The best place in the Nullarbor to stop for a refresher and enjoy the company of lovely staff, very friendly locals and the beautiful surroundings; especially the
Murrawijinie caves and the coast along the great bight.
Excellent accommodation and we enjoyed staying over for 6 nights.
Amazing coffee and great dinner menus at the restaurant, we had the King George Crumbed Whiting fish fillets with salad, wedges/garlic bread and veg pasta of the day.
It was a pleasure to meet Daniel & Dorothy, we would love to revisit again.
