Nik's BBQ on The Lake

It was ok. Nice atmosphere, food ok. Value is ok for what you get on wraps but other things maybe pricey. Live music was nice but the place is a bit cramped making conversation difficult. Bread for the wraps a bit dry. The small size plates were a bit awkward, waitress spilled some chips on the table that weren’t removed. Plenty of people coming and going.

Asked for battered butterfish and was told they only had crumbed. Then was given crumbed flake.which was horrible.

The staff are very friendly and takes the time to ask you how you are and how was the food. I had a lamb yiros and I have to admit it was the best one I ever had. Big chunks of juicy lamb and lots of it. I will go back and taking a few others with me. The place has a very nice relaxing feel by the lake on a warm beautiful evening.

Not normally one to ever do reviews it could possibly be my first but the service at Nik's BbQ on the Lake is disgusting along with the very average food. Struggling to understand why people fill this very very average take away venue, I was constantly dragged to this diner with friends to only ever be disappointed and confused as to how it was so busy. Very average meat, very very average service, expensive pricing for sub-par quality. Rude staff charging me two seats for dinner after spending ~$70 on food because I was after two mains for one person. Then on another occasion refusing table water after spending ~$40 on food and implying I had to buy a bottle. Very crowded diner with uncomfortable seats and tables with no room for customers to enjoy their meal or even a conversation. Would not reccomend this place to anyone as the staff come across very rude and seem to really be pretending especially the female workers as they cant even spare a glass of water for their customers (encouraged by nik?) Suprised as to how this place packs out its disrespectful to any other greek places in adelaide as they say this place is one of the better ones. It is not close to a even a yiros out of a shopping complex.

Stay clear of Nik's BBQ on the lake dont be fooled by the ignorant mawson lakes crowd having a very average meal along with bad service from this garbage take out venue.
A take out place pretending to be modest but very far from it.
Thanks just had to review as this place has been a let down on many occasions (not by my choice)

The best customer server, all staff look happy to be there,
Meat that is unbeatable, and serving portions are good and cost isnt that bad.

Ordered an AB pack for $41 and had no sauce expect a tiny little tub, called for them to send another one down only to be told it was our fault.

I was there today and absolutely good customer service and food. Stuff is like family. I highly recommend if you want all round good quality restaurant

A great family atmosphere good quality Greek food very fresh but most impressed with the generous serves, feels like you're on the Greek islands with the live Greek music. Highly recommend.

Had a lamb yiro meal and it was awesome. The French fries were really good. Definitely would go there again

Ok.but $49 steak was tough and grissly. Potato and euros were good. $9.90 backlava was pricey and average. Good service.

Spotlessly clean Greek takeaway and sit down, also pavement seating looking over the lake.
Great service from big team (family?) and large serves. Huge menu includes baked potatoes, seafood, salads and kebabs, grilled on open flame Infront of you.
Tried BBQ octopus, marinated and flavoursome, the lettuce salad had feta, olives, tomato. Serve of chips was enough for two. Steakcut, crispy outside&soft inside, really delicious.
Not cheap but fresh and generous.

Seems like a nicely styled place overlooking a lake. I had the large AB Yiros lamb pack as a takeaway and it was okay, nothing special I've had much better for cheaper. Main gripe is the customer service was poor.

Hands-down THE best yiros meat in Adelaide. Tender and flavoursome.

I love a good lamb yiros, but today was far from it. I was very disappointed with the yiros I purchased for lunch today. It was disgusting! The lamb was extremely tough and rubbery, basically not edible. Until they decide to buy quality lamb as was suggested I would not recommend trying their lamb yiros.
On a positive note their hot chips which was part of the yiros deal were delicious.

Amazing food and owner has a beautiful soul, for our mother 50th wedding dinner. He even had the duet play lovely greek music. Definitely recommend dinner on any occassion.

Some of the best food in mawson lakes. Their chips are awesome and the lam is cooked amazingly. Totally worth the 5 stars

We have only had yiros and ab pack. Both are really good. But recently our yiros was lots of fat and rubbery stuff not much meat.so stopped going there. Their chips are to die for. It's just we had a bad experience. Other wise it's best.

Do not go anywhere else for kebabs! I've had several items on the menu and always no matter what day/time food is amazing, fresh and hot. Staff are always kind and interactive with customers, place is clean. Love it

Way expensive.
Fish burger is very expensive $12.90 a burger, where you can get the same burger and a bit bigger in size for $7 from Mawson Lakes chicken located next to Nikks BBQ.

Have been going here for years with my family. Customer service is always great and the serving sizes are huge! Best AB's in Adelaide
