Nik's BBQ on The Lake reviews
65Niks BBQ on the Lake is a great family owned Greek restaurant with affordable prices. The lamb yiros Baked Potato is my go to
Lovely people great food fantastic service and a lovely place to just sit eat and enjoy the scenery Try it you will love it. Yiros and chips so good
.
Came an ordered a lamb yiros, and I got a lamb shawarma; to most people it might be the same thing, but in Adelaide where yiros seems to be king, it's definitely different. And for a shawarma, too much gristle, meat was rotating on the spit so should be hot, when I walked out and opened the package and started eating, the meat was definitely cold. Sorry shubbab, good location, good potential but we make better food back home!
Best A. B I've had.
Very generous servings, I could barely finish a small size lamb A. B
2 youngs kids split a chips and nuggets meal and they could not finish either.
Service was also fast too.
Owner was very friendly.
I recommend all my friends and family to go there you are awesome your burgers are excellent and everything on your menus excellent as well
Absolutely gorgeous beautiful atmosphere and so sweet, they had set up a quick birthday party for myself when my family friends had said it was my birthday so they went out of their way to surprise me, and it was absolutely amazing I had the most amazing birthday present ever. The food was extraordinary full of flavour and the family atmosphere is great 1000 stars if I could
Do not wanted to leave a review for them but I had a bad experience with them.
I did not like their customer service the girl behind the counter was yelling at someone and the coffee was yukki too.
I don't often give reviews except if the place is really good or in this case really bad.
I have been here before, the same this time, terrible.
The place stinks, eating area needs a good clean.
Worse yiros ever. Made with dry, tough, flavourless lamb flap.
Barely edible, and I am easily pleased.
I'm sure they can do better than this.
I used to love this place when we lived in Mawson Lakes. So we decided to go back there since it has been a while. I was disappointed as i felt like the quality has dropped. Their schnitzels used to be awesome but now they taste average and it was chewy. I could not finish my meal as it didn't taste great either. I think it is overpriced for what they serve.
We went for tea for the first time for a birthday.
The owner went out of their way and put up balloons and set the table.
The food was delicious and we even got a desert to go.
Will definitely fo again.
Worst customer service ever. Put your order in writing. How can they mix up a simple order. Ordered chicken yiros and got lamb and they refused to fix it. Never in my wildest dreams would i have expected that. Were going there a fair bit but never again.
Honestly by far the worst Yiros I've ever eaten. The meat was so dry and flavourless and the chips were undercooked/bland. Think homebrand freezer chips. Really disappointed, was super expensive too.
I was very disappointed the last visit at Nik's BBQ. Myself and my fellow mates went to order an AB pack consisting of chips, lamb and chicken. When it got to the table we were starving, we opened the box and started to eat. Suddenly we were surprised with a few pieces of raw chicken contained in this pack. One of my mates went up to the counter to aware the staff of the issue, the response we got from the worker was "it is chicken skin mate''. After hearing those words I had a felling of disgust in my body, as right in front of me I could still see raw pieces of chicken.
Was charged $14.90 for a lamb yiros despite multiple signs advising it should only have been $12.90. When questioned the girl serving said someone must have scratched it off the sign - yet one of the signs saying this was in the window! None of the above would have been a big deal, but echoing other reviewers, the yiros was full of gristle and not worth the money we paid!
Me and mates had bought a 25 dollar AB just to not eat it because of the raw chicken. When we told the staff about the issue we were told it was skin, I never knew skin was 5cm thick pink and still breathing. Terrible food
Worst yiros I've ever had. Meat was full of gristle and everything was cold. Genuinely can't believe they think that's what people want and don't understand how they can serve that. Wish I'd read the reviews and not just looked at the star rating
Food was good but.
On the menu, an item is priced 24 99 but it became 29.99 at checkout, why? The owner said the price of meat has gone up but has not got around to change price yet. Aha. Unlikely to go back again. Matter of principles and ethics.
Food was bland. Yiros wasn't upto the mark. Porterhouse steak was hard and difficult to chew. Serving size was Okish but food quality wasn't as good as other greek restaurants. They don't serve tap water and you have to buy bottled water.
Clearly others havent had an AB or a yiros before. I would encourage them to go to the blue burger bar for a comparison.this place makes very average food and it's not cheap.if u want attitude with your lunch, this is also THE place to go.you might even get abused by the owner.i see I'm not alone in my experience.some businesses just dont care that their behaviour and their service is on display and can be publicly reviewed.
Absolutely fabulous seafood platter for two. Highly recommended and will definitely be going there again.
