Morphettville Medical Centre reviews
54I have been seeing doctors at this Medical Centre for nearly 6 years now and there is not a single time I can complain about it. From the receptionists to the doctors, everyone is so pleasant to talk to and very professional. There is a wait but it is worth it
Dr Khan seemed to be more interested in leaving the office than treating his patients. A year after and I’m still scarred by his attitude and lack of attention
Receptionist Mia very friendly and helpful, Dr Uri welcoming, efficient and very helpful, and on time.
Absolutely hopeless, the worst facility in Australia. Withholding information and charging insane fees. Horrible service.
Very very bad service by receptionist. I set there 2 hours and they said i haven’t checked in and they canceled my appointment. I have no words to describe this nonsense. I wish same thing happen with tham when they are in extreme pain or illness.
I am not going up any higher than 1/4 star. Our doctor of 20 years suddenly retired. Went back to Morphettville Medical Centre. The Centre was, and still is, appallingly hopeless. Nothing changed in around 20 years, The doctor we saw was horribly nasty. He got his back up when I pulled him up on different points. I am the damn patient here. Not you Ian. Will have to return to get results - but, if they are a "rent-a-chair" Good luck.
Saw Dr James Iliac for recreational diving medical certificate. After the physical tests were taken (blood pressure, ECG, eyesight, etc.) It took several phone calls and three visits to the medical centre to collect all my results. The reception unable to simply deliver my medical results in the first instance, then posted by mail my results however it was still missing a few papers for my blood pressure, eyesight, etc. Had to visit the office in person again to ensure that I had everything on hand. Disappointing that a simple task turned into a herculean effort.
Well what can I say about this Fabulous Centre? THANK YOU for coming to my rescue today. I had just cut my finger doing dishes at the Puddle Jumpers Cooking group. Rang around different Drs to try and be seen when the lovely reception staff said that while they were full that they would be able to squeeze me in so I could be checked out to see if my finger needed stitches.
It was a sigh of relief as I explained to the lovely lady over the phone that I needed to get back to a volunteer cooking group who were making meals that would be handed out for free to vulnerable families.
A quick fill out of forms, no need to show my evidence of Covid vaccination, a quick clean up by the lovely young nurse and a look over from the Dr before they fixed it up with glue to treat it.
I was given an overdue tetanus shot that I didn’t even feel and had to confirm with the kind lady if she had given it to me already, (I’m not so good with needles) I was able to get back to the cooking group in no time with no out of pocket expenses.
Not only were you a great support at keeping me calm while I was being treated but you have also assisted in helping me get back to help the many disadvantaged and vulnerable families across Adelaide who are in need of a free meal from Puddle Jumpers.
Thank you for your kindness and support today!
I attended with my elderly father with a complex case of cancer radiation treatment and side effects. Reception staff were great. Doctor Khan did not seem to care, was very dismissive, aloof, did not ask many questions, seemed very uninvolved. We had not brought medical history from previous treatment for referrals to other specialists but we felt he was rude and that we were wasting his time. He charged for a long appointment even though all he did was take blood pressure and we were dismissed very quickly. Pretty much charged $140 for a blood pressure check. Very poor! Not recommended. I have seen other doctors there who were good, but not this one.
It was a most professional and caring group at Morphettville Medical Centre who helped me and my friend Jo who had cut her finger.
Kind and helpful reception staff, lovely nurse and quick treatment by the Dr. Thankyou so much to you all.
Jo and I are so impressed with your team. Well done

I had a really great experience at Morphetville Medical Centre. Sri, the receptionist was great. Friendly and very attentive. I had a sore hand during my visit and she helped me fill out my new admission form. Dr Chin is a great GP, he is caring, knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my concerns and gave me plenty of information on the medications that I'd be taking. They also have a chemist on site which made the whole visit even easier. I will definitely be going to Morphettville Medical Centre whenever I need medical attention. Thank you!
What's the point of having a phone number to be able to call if it rings, someone picks up and then hangs up. Or rings and then sounds like it gets transferred to a fax machine. Or the line is "busy" 24/7.
If you want medical & reception staff incompetence, bullying, & medical gaslighting go here. I’m a retired Doctor and can’t believe the way I was treated. I never mentioned my past as a Doctor either, and was calm and courteous. Makes me wonder how other people who don’t know better are treated. Dr Khan has some anger and empathy issues that need sorting out. Also I was told the wrong time for a session and the staff agreed it was the wrong time yet I was still charged for it. They have high staff turn over and reception staff aren’t trained with how the practice works. This is all happened before the omicron surge so no real excuses for lack of expertise of staff. It’s a shame that this happened because my family had been going for decades
My little one needs her 6 weeks check and get immunised, instead of booking my appt online, I called the front desk to book just to make sure that everything is clear, been told no problems at all.
Arrived on time, got paper form filled out, but got told they can't do immunisation today, I need to come back later for immunisation. I was not happy obviously, because I called before and confirmed with their staff.
I told the lady that I still wanted my baby's 6 weeks check to be done today, without confirming with me she cancelled my appointment and booked everything the next day. I told her to cancel everything cuz I'm not coming back ever. Doctors there are great, dealt with Dr. IAN Chamber and Dr. Uri, loved them. But some people just don't know how to handle things.
Coped abuse from one of the GP’s at this clinic. So far no response or reply for a month now. Unacceptable.
I will like to thank Dr Khan very much for providing me with much needed tests. He took the time to listen and act upon my symptoms.
I found the staff were very polite and helpful.
I had a good experience, thank you.
Clean and follows covid directions. Depending on what doctor you see depends on how long you'll be waiting.
Very handy having pathology and a pharmacy in the same complex. Parking can be a little tight, so be wary
Arrived 10 minutes early for an 8am appointment. Door locked with receptionist inside behind counter. Opening hours signs covered by a sign stating they are unable to take walking. I pushed the door button for entry to be yelled at by the receptionist 'its not 8 o'clock yet' and with an added glare and shake of the head. Pathetic how people these days can get away with poor service won't be back here again.
Been twice b4 today drs were very friendly.but will never attend again as a dr refused to see me as i had an exemption from wearing a mask.she
couldnt get away quick enough then made some story up about not excepting new patients after stating she wasnt seeing me because i had no mask.if your not seeing new patients dont confirm appointments and state on the website your not.sorry i dont believe you arent.
Been attending my whole life and have never had any issues, or a bad thing to say about the place, until yesterday. I had a few phone calls trying to book in for a consult where the lady on the receiving end was very short with me and essentially told me to try another clinic instead of explaining to me that due to medicare rebates that they can no longer do phone consults unless its covid related. Would have taken her all of an extra 20 seconds to explain this to me nicely and i would have been on the same page and understanding. Instead i was left feeling dejected and frustrated. Oh well.
