Mexican Society reviews
77The food was amazing and was rivaled only by the friendly service. I had heard so people raving about this place and i was intrigued and had to try it. I was not disappointed but in fact think it surpassed its reputation. Look forward to eating here again
Good food and nice atmosphere. Great selection of traditional Mexican dishes as well as quite a wide variety of chef specials which are rotated on a regular basis. Service is quick and friendly. Would recommend.
First time in Adelaide. Did a walk in of two - we got the tasting menu.
Very reasonably priced. The food was amazing, the service was good, awesome cocktails and drinks menu. 5/5
Awesome feed. Modern spin on Mexican food. You must try if Mexican is your gig you won't be disappointed. Great friendly staff with great suggestions for you. Tapas like options and serving size are perfect. Banquet options are great idea to try lots of chefs favorites.
Really like the food and service here went on a Tuesday and it got busy but didn't need to book to get a seat for four
Went to mexican society tonight for dinner. The vibe of the restaurant was good and the service was also good. The food was tasty and flavoursome, however the portion sizes were not overly generous considering the prices. The favourate was the duck nachos, the dissapointment was the chargrilled octopus.
Food was ok but the first thing I ate was a prawn taco, and as I bit into it water gushed out. I have to assume this isn't intentional because I don't know anyone who likes food soggy with water. It was like the lettuce had just been washed and put straight in. The "pan fried prawn and squid" was not prawn and squid but some processed fish cake stuff.
Fantastic meals. Went here for a special occasion and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and so fresh and flavorsome. Definitely will come back here.
Staff were so good - gave me a run down of vegan options then looked after me through both courses. We enjoyed the place so much we couldn't help staying for cocktails - which were great as well!
Absolutely delicious food (we had the flashy shared menu) but the service was uneven - including spilling some plate juices on one of my friends (yes, it was raised at the time) so one star knocked off!
Not your burritos and tacos sort of place. A bit more unique and tasty. We got a handful of dishes and shared them. I loved them all. The dishes didn’t really lend themselves to being shared in a group but still tasty. Try it.
Food was quite poor.real tiny servings with an entire plate of some type of wild green surrounding it.it doesnt even say on the menu that youll get those greens either lol
Food and service were good. Menu and dishes have room for improvement though. Disappointed only because of high expectations.
Good service, great service actually.
Food isn't as great as the fictitious reviews.
Dry dehydrated, lacks the colorful qualities. Even street food in Mexico is on a whole new level compared to The Mexican Society.
Round up: Food court food at a pretentious price.
Went here for lunch with a sceptical friend who doesn’t really like Mexican.we were both really impressed and had the Mexican traffic banquet menu, outstanding flavours and not your traditional Mexican restaurant experience! I will be back for the second banquet menu! Good value for money and great atmosphere.
Very nice food, drinks, environment and service! I'm south american and I really enjoyed the food. That's why they won the awards tho!
Food was good and service alright, however when I called about wheelchair access, I was told it was. The wheelchair 'access' involved a ramp being moved across 3 seperate staircases in a pretty awkward and obvious manner. It would not have been hard to warn us of this.
