Mercato reviews
74Have been coming to Mercato's for quite some time but was very disappointed after my visit on Saturday and will not be returning. Arranged a family catch up for breakfast but was disappointed in the lack of food options. The staff were not friendly and we were told we could only stay 45 minutes and on the dot of 45 minutes the staff basically asked us to leave when we had not finished. The food and coffee did not arrive timely so if you want to enforce 45 minutes you need to get the food and coffee out quick. It was really uncomfortable when we were asked to leave ans everyone agreed that we would not come back. I know there are still COVID restrictions but Mercato need to move with the times as other places are more relaxed and inviting.
It is very well laid out. Had pizza, shared a plate of spaghetti/meatballs, glass of italian wine finished with coffee & cake. Great food, great service!
Mercato' s is a wonderful dining experience.
Lots of car parking available. Very popular breakfast and lunch. Good food. Excellent service. Thankyou for a great Italian experience
Very unique setting with cafe and small goods.
The main meal which was spaghetti meat balls was amazing. The pizza wasnt very nice.pretty dry and random.
Desert was also great with coffee.
Great service, great variety, great coffee everything an Italian would need to enjoy the good life.
Wonderful mini Italy! Delicious coffee, cakes and pastries and a wonderful store full of Italian treats!
One of my favourite places in Adelaide - a paradise of every type of beautiful Italian food product you can imagine!
So many products, gadgets, herbs, spices, oils, vinegars, anchovy varieties, cheeses, pastas, flours, rices, smallgoods, cookbooks & utensils. Love this store.
They have great coffee and a good range of breakfast/lunch items. You can also pick up some fantastic produce. The best delicatessen in Adelaide.
One of my for both produce and food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cafe can be busy (weekends especially). Plenty of seating both inside and outside. Great to walk through grab some prosciutto, salami, all kinds of other meats, cheese and antipasto.and nice selection of wines. Coffee is on point and the lunches are always great and change from week to week. Pizza by the slice is a generous size and always awesome.
Went for the Passata Day and we had a fantastic time. The staff made it very relaxed, friendly and enjoyable and the lunch following the passata making was sensational. We even learnt Briscola, bought a pack at Mercato and now play it regularly. Great place.
A real gem, fantastic selection of food from italy including a broad wine range. It isn't just a selection of food and drinks imported from Italy, but cookware, jars, pizza oven accessories. There is an extensive range of fresh delicatessen produce such as hams and cheeses - if you're going on a Saturday then make sure you get there early and get a ticket as there can be wait. Or enjoy a coffee or shop while you wait!
Omg.food is amazing. Coffee is great. Service is super quick. Will definitely be coming back. Great breakfast!
Not as good as they used to be. This time I tried a coffee from the cafe but I probably wouldn’t choose there again.
Have been coming here for years and since the Mercato took over the cafe it is great.but not today. What is going on? We bought lunch and wine - the food was bland (it is usually tasty and great but way below standard today!) and the service was cold, bordering on rude. Not impressed as the usual staff & meals are lovely. Hopefully it is a once only thing to happen. We will give it one more chance.
I love my visits to Imma and Mario's. They have so much to offer - from great coffee, pastries and food! They've got all bases covered!
Great place. Miss the Ham & Cheese Croissant. Hot coffee can be a hit & miss, depending on who makes it.
Absolutely shocking experience. The barista Nathaniel was extremely rude and arrogant. Never coming back here again.
Worst customer service ever by Andrea the so called manager of the cafe on breakfast, food is ok not great but the CS factor being so rude make it even worst
I live this place. It is a supermarket selling imported food and wines at one end and a fabulous restaurant at the other end. Great coffee, food and servicr -very Italian. The building is spacious, very well laid out and clean.
