I could go to my local deli to get our smallgoods and pastas but I would rather travel 20 minutes to get here! The produce is exceptional, the atmosphere is great and the service is Wonder ️

They use the best, first class service, d'angelo coffee and the food on offer is outstanding a must try for breakfast or lunch, they also have pizza on offer all day.

The supermarket section itself is fantastic and stocks a wide range of high quality "gourmet" imported Italian products. I've noticed that some of the same products are slightly cheaper elsewhere in Adelaide, but it's still worth doing a big grocery trip here. I've tried the cafe a few times as it's conveniently located in the supermarket but it was quite average. Coffee has been consistently good but the pastries (shared amongst my group) have been on the stale/unfresh side.

Problems with tables and reservation. While you still at the table and having you meal, staff brings the reserve sign and place it on you table letting you know that you have only 20 minutes.

Upscale genuine Italian market. Excellent procieutto and cured meats. A whole range of quality sauces and pasta. A bit expensive but that is what you pay for quality. Lovely cafe inside where you can enjoy a cappuccino and cake while shopping.

A favourite! Great food, reasonable prices, always busy. Love the " supermarket" deli bar and choices of wines too. A one stop shop!
Hard to leave without some eggplant parmigiana and meatballs and of course canoli sfoglia.

Lovely place with awesome products. This place has everything you wish for. Great coffees, beautiful authentic Italian products from wine to cheese, pasta, bread and even cooking accessories. Lovely and friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. Pennines and breakfast items are also very good quality, simple and fresh. If you love anything Italian! This is the place to visit and enjoy.

Lovely shop with a lot of delicious pre made meals and interesting drinks/snacks. Can dine in for lunch or grab something from the deli section. Highly recommend going here!

I've driven by so many times - finally I had an opportunity to stop in. I bought lots of yummy stuff to take home and sat down to a bite to eat. It was so good.

This is a true treasure trove. My wife and i have been going to Mercato since they were operating out of tin sheds some 30 odd years back. This place has food and unusual types of delicacies for the food connoisseur. You can get cheese and cured meats of every description. They shop has wine and specialist liqueurs. You can get all types of pasta and sauces. They have an eatery where you can get pizza and pasta meals, followed by delectable pastries and superb coffee. The staff are great, quick, helpful with lots of smiles. There is ample parking outside, as they have a large carpark. There are ramps for the disabled. The restrooms are spotless. Do yourself a big treat and head on down and let the team at Mercator bath you in the joys of international delights.

This is my favourite Italian supermarket/cafe in Adelaide. I need to restrain myself because the range of Italian vino, meats and products is outstanding. I love walking in and smelling ‘italy’. Until we can travel again, I’ll be here for a truly Italian shopping experience. Grazie mille

Mercato (right opposite the Cambelltown shopping centre on lower Nth East rd
The continuation of payneham road) it's bigger than a shop or coffee lounge, a small Emporium I often refer to as "Little Italy"
It features a brilliant coffee and light breakfast and meals area from 8.00am.
All food and cakes made on the premises to the highest standards. ALSO features a massive Italian Deli section
Meats Cheese and Savouries, A large imported Italian Wine Section and a large display of Homemade Italian packaged takeaway meals in the fridge section, there's also an Italian grocery section where you can even buy truffle paste which I personally love to scrape on my breakfast toast. Staff are multi cultural and obviously chosen for their delightfully friendly disposition.
Do yourself a favour and check it out. Another Adelaide Gem stone.
5 stars.

Average service for generic Italian food. I can get better small goods from my local foodland in Stirling. If you're hungry or want a takeaway coffee its not worth the lengthy wait times. Although it's always busy so its probably my taste and several bad service experiences only.

Perfect stopover on a busy morning. Instead of table numbers they have markers with letters on them represented by an icon of Italian culture. For example, we sat on table G and read up all about Grappa while waiting for our order. It's a unique touch.
