Melba's Chocolates reviews
51Amazing chocolate and really cool you can see it being made any time. A great business for the community and we stop in whenever we are close by. Always an excuse for a detour.
The most expensive lollies and chocolates ive ever seen, and the hot chocalate was so sweet it made both my children vomit in car on way home and both my wife and i felt ill as well. This wasnt hot chocalate it tasted like quick from a tin omg no way would i recommend or return to you shop again, in actual fact you dont even deserve the one star half star only is my opinion.
Great factory to visit, on certain days you can see them making the chocolates and you get to sample. They have a lovely old fashioned coffee shop but what let’s it down is, there are no chairs to sit down and enjoy your coffee unless you sit outside.
Old world charm. Have been going to Melba's on and off for years. She has a wonderful atmosphere and sells great products. Some very unique. Had a white hot chocolate, which was absolutely delicious. Great stop when touring the Adelaide Hills.
Always came here as a child on school trips. I was sent their famous inch licorice by a friend and I forgot how incredible it is. I hate licorice allsorts and the like, this is completely different, it's brilliant. Will be visiting again when I get back to SA!
Its a nice place to visit maybe once a year. But lets be honest you can buy similar products in the shops for half the price.
More of a Shop than Factory. Don’t expect to see chocolates being made. The “individual rooms” are mostly storage rooms with not much else going on.
At least the chocolates and sweets are reasonably priced and good value. Very good range and large and small bags for most things.
They should really offer baskets for holding things as you go round and let you really load up. Obvious mistake.
Poor wheelchair access - the ramp is very steep. Twice as steep as standard nowadays.
Amazing chocolate factory! Huge range of chocolates like I've never seen before, and many in a choice of milk, dark, or white chocolate. There were some free samples around, which was great, and some very decadent drinks in the cafe! Spent an appalling amount of money there, but it was worth it.
Lots of goodies and seems to be one of the last places where you can eat samples (small and yummy). Lovely staff. Most of the workers in the factory were friendly and happy to yarn. Sales staff very helpful. As a lover of chocolate I fully recommend calling in at least once or twice
Well worth the drive to visit this chocolate factory/store.
The have ample to see and learn about making chocolate as well as ample variety on display to purchase.
Nice chocolate factory with lots of different chocolate options. They have few processes on display for public like - coating chocolate, packing etc.
This is not as big as the chocolate factory in philip island victoria but has a different vibe to it. The chocolate scupltures on display showing lots of chocolate powder on ground and everywhere makes you feel you are in chocolate world as there is lots of chocolate all around that room.
There are public toilets including the disabled/baby change room.
Also, there are free samples and a coffee shop. And we went here there was a spud truck selling yummy stuffed spuds and nachos. Loved it!
Support local businesses and pay them a visit!
