Melba's Chocolates

The Hot Chocolates (Milk and White Chocs) we had were sublime in smoothness and taste. On first taste - "Oh, dear Lord. ".
Stephanie, who'd prepared our drinks, is a very pleasant person and helpful with some tips from the locals' point of view. Thank you, Stephanie and Melba Chocolate Factory.

As we were coming back from the whispering wall came back a different way so that my cousin (from Queensland) could see Melba's and take some back home.

Visited Melba's Chocolates today. Bought a number different types of chocolates and ordered a hot chocolate and mocha. It's now hours later and my wife is still raving about the hot chocolate, so well done the young barista who gave up her Sunday to serve us today.

We visited Melba’s Chocolates as part of our easter trip to Adelaide. The shop is clean and well presented. The staff are nice. You can have a glimpse of their manufacturing area. We bought some products and its a little bit pricey for me. The chocolate shot taste nice but too sweet for my liking. We tried the White Chocolate melba bar, still too sweet and there was a tangerine or citrusy like after taste which is a little bit weird. The milk chocolate marsmallow texture is nice but also too sweet and still has this weird tangerine like aftertaste. Im wondering if if its really the normal taste or has some sort of cross contamination from other flavoured lollies. The Chocolate shot doesn’t have this tangerine-like aftertaste. Overall, just too sweet for my liking. Other products that we bought we need to try it to see if it has this aftertaste.

Love Melbas, have been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my children here. Love the experience

Always an awesome place to visit. It’s a cute and beautiful location and has the best hot chocolate you have ever tasted. On sundays they have lawn games and a great spot to chill and eat your chocolate/ have a coffee. Every type
Of chocolate and lollies you could think of.

Great to have local chocolate confectionary around the area. Spoilt for choice and you get ice cream and coffee and of course hot chocolate. Candies - raspberry drops! And different flavour chocolate from peppermint to caramel to liquorice ….
Locals and loads of tourists. But would say it’s a little dear… just tough to resist when you are there and a chocolate lover.

Ivy enjoyed her experience although the letter "I" she purchased was the same value of the letter "M "which was double in size and weight.

Dropped in to have a look at the factory. Staff were lovely and even explained some of the processes and molds. Great selection of chocolates and lollies with all sorts of choices. Most options came in white, milk and dark chocolate. Kids have already devoured their assortment. Definitely would recommend a visit.

Really nice place to get your chocolates. A bit far from Hahndorf and Adelaide. Pricing is quite reasonable. Parking readily available outside. There's an outdoor area for kids activities.

Every now and then, I'll run into someone who claims not to like chocolate, and while we live in a country where everyone has the right to eat what they want, I want to say for the record that I don't trust these people, that I think something is wrong with them, and that they're probably serial killers.

I am not a chocalate person myself. We were just passing by and decided to take a look. Kids bought a bunch of different candies and chocolates and I cannot stop eating them. Next time I will have to go buy something only for myself!

A lot of delicious looking choices, very small area so can get cramped during busy season. Just one thing we didn't like was the queue to checkout. Need to be more clear on where to line up. Had to wait 2 times because people were confused on where to line up and didn't want to feel like we pushed in.

It's just a great place to go on a wet Sunday afternoon! Especially if you're a chocoholic like me

Haven't been here 4 awhile the look is amazing. Great cafe and food. Awesome assortment of condiments. Friendly, helpful service. Worth a trip.

Filled with lollies and chocolates of all types, you can watch these delights being professionally made, chat to the fantastic staff, enjoy a drink or simply enjoy some top quality chocolate.

I first visited Melba's as a child, now I take our kids to visit this place. Their eyes light up when we say we're going to Melba's - there favourite the chocolate frogs. My favorites the chocolate freckles or choc coffee beans. However If your visiting you simply must try a hot chocolate. Drinking a hot chocolate made from REAL chocolate is just something else!
