Mayfair Hotel

The Mayfair is a simply beautiful hotel. They did justice to the old building in the style and design of the hotel. The staff provided fantastic service and the room amazing. Many inclusions making the stay even nicer.
Chose to eat at "The Den" and it did not disappoint

First of all, had to park in a Hindley St carpark, away from the hotel, had to carry all our luggage to hotel. Beds are way too soft, not comfortable at all. Booked for breakfast in the hotel restaurant, Over an hour wait time for breakfast, just plain eggs on toast.that's it.nothing fancy.what a joke! Location is good.but that's about it I'm afraid.

High tea on the weekend was obismal.the little sausage rolls were cold, the cakes were ordinary and the sandwiches sloppy.the coffee and tea came after the food and they cleared away my glass of $14 champagne when I took an elderly lady to the loo. Not at all happy! When I told the.the staff couldnt have cared less!

Amazing. Very highly recommended. One of the best hotels in Adelaide. Even the restaurants are amazing

Really lovely hotel - only complaint was mixed messaging over availability of InRoom Breakfast.had to leave most of it because it came so late!

Meh, I had such high hopes for my stay. The room was ok but not with $400+ that I paid. Staff where very casual and seemed to care more about gossiping than serving. The waiter at the Den was a joke. Yelling across the restaurant asking if we want anything else rather than coming up to us… once our cheese came out he made a point of telling us he made it up himself as the kitchen was closing…. It was only 8pm! You advise it closes at 9. At breakfast I had to telling the welcome lady I had pre-paid for breakfast 4 times as she wanted to charge it back to my. There is much better places to stay in Adelaide especially for the price I paid. Will not be going back

Great spot with terrace or indoors drinks. Atmosphere and lounge music very good. Staff is very friendly. However, not a great variety of wine. Fries are very good.

Pretty underwhelming for the price. Room is dark and oddly furnished, TV and movie selection is from early 2000s. No option to cast phone to watch Netflix etc.

Roof top bar had tradespeople working around patrons on a Thurs night.

No heat in bathroom.

Comfy bed.

I feel like the hotel used to be premium back in the day but has since not been updated to reflect modern conveniences

Rooms and beds are comfy but there are a few things that need urgent attention. Wifi is virtually non existent and the shower pressure is super weak…when you’re laying $250 a night in Adelaide these are non-negotiable s. Staff were friendly.

Very stylish hotel in the centre of Adelaide. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Always nice to have a bit of luxury away from home.

Staff put me as a non-smoker next to the smoking terrace. Was kept awake the first night due to noise in the hallway and doors closing into the early hours of the morning. Reception said they would speak to guests but the same happened the next night. Woken up at midnight by drunken people talking loudly outside my door. Security were sent up and although they were much more quite there is no sound proofing between the room and corridors. Issue with the car parking I was charged both by the hotel and the car back on day 1 and day 3 as the validation ticket didn’t work. Probably the most frustrating was giving feedback to the property in person and via email they cannot be bothered to contact me regarding my issues with the stay nor resolve the parking. I come to this hotel every year with friends in multiple rooms- based on the last stay I won’t be coming back. Very sad to see the lowered standards and the willingness of staff to accomodate drunken noisy guests over those trying to get a good nights sleep.

Truly Exceptional!
The staff are trained exceptionally just to elevate your experience. They are all so kind, genuine and go above and beyond for their guests. Beautifully decorated rooms (very spacious with great city view), most comfortable beds, amazing restaurants with delicious foods and the cleanliness of the hotel make our stay pleasurable and would definitely stay there again.

Still saving up with my monopoly money, but in real life it is a great place to stay with very luxurious rooms. Great place to stay and I recommend it!

Beautiful and modern.you really notice all the attention to detail and staff go beyond lengths to make your stay special.worth every penny, we will be back!

Comfortable room, great service and delicious food.
The reason for 4 stars is that there is no valet service, it is a bit annoying that you need to park across the street in a Wilson Car Park, as well as the bathrobe is way too small for an average man.
Everything else was fantastic.

The staff were very polite & professional, our bags were in room while we were still checking in. The room was lovely, very clean, the bed i could take home. I will stay there again but abit more of a stay.

Excellent service from the Mayfair! We held our end of year party here in the Hennessy Bar. Food, drinks, and service were fantastic! Multiple party guests including staff and clients stayed afterwards at the hotel and had nothing but positive experiences to relate. Thanks Mayfair!

I have stayed here before not long after it opened, but found the experience to be a bit much and as if they hotel was trying too hard. Perhaps it was just the staff at that particular time or them feeling pressure as a new hotel?

I was pleasantly surprised this time around: the staff were professional and courteous, my room was available early, and check in was swift.

The hotel has high end elegant furnishings and amenities; it's housed in a beautiful historic building and conveniently located. I appreciate the 24 hour gym, free mini bar, and quality bathroom products.

Went there for dinner the service was excellent I had the Parmy I believe it was George that served us his service was impeccable we will be coming back!
