Mayfair Hotel

An elegant hotel perfectly located for access to Rundle Mall, North Terrace, and the restaurants on Peel/Leigh streets. Staff are attentive, rooms well presented even if the bathrooms are on the smaller side, and the hotel's parking arrangement proved hugely helpful with a hire car.

Big applause to the service. I had such a great time, everyone was lovely and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy.

First & Last stay at this hotel!
Checkin was advised to be from 2pm one wards. When we arrived at 4pm our room was not ready and we were made to wait until 6pm to get into our room. Staff were rude and not once apologised but continued to tell me it was “not their problem” that our room was not ready. I was asked to email the manager about my experience and I still haven’t had a reply 2 weeks later. Absolutely appalling. Won’t be staying or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Nice stay in the city centrally located hotel close to everything. Nice room bed extremely comfortable with complimentary mini bar. Only complaint was the water pressure in the shower which was very poor, such a pity as everything else was perfect.

This is by far the best place to stay in Adelaide. I love it so much. Their staff is very friendly and the rooms are super clean. If I could give more than 5 stars I would xo

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Beautiful comfortable accommodation. Best night sleep we’ve had in ages. Complimentary bar snacks and bubbles for our anniversary was a lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. Had a lovely dinner down in The Den. Can’t wait to stay again.

A fantastic room service and the Den was magic for lunch.

Lovely room with excellent amenities. The staff are also helpful, but not intrusive. Love the Hennessy Rooftop Bar, the bartenders take great care with the cocktails!

I have found my new home in Paris! I loved my stay at the Hotel Mayfair. The staff were excellent. Personal service and detail. Before I arrived they arranged many restaurant bookings for me which I really appreciated. On arrival we were upgraded to a junior Suite for our first night from a superior, and to a superior from a confort the remaining 3 nights, which again was extremely appreciated. I highly recommend the junior suite which was on the 6th (top) floor and had a balcony with views across the rooftops to jardin de tuileries. The beds were super comfortable. The rooms were nicely renovated. There was an espresso coffee machine in every room. We had a situation where a family member had tested positive for Covid thé day before our arrival and I had to have an extra youth with us last minute.thé hôtel were very accommodating in finding a solution to fit the extra guest which wasn’t easy as they were fully booked. What I liked most was the renovated rooms and the personal intimate feel to thé hôtel. All the staff were so lovely and professional and personable. I spent a long time researching to find the hôtel that ticked all my boxes in this location within a budget I could afford. The last time I was in Paris 10 years ago I stayed at the George V hôtel abd the time before that the Ritz, which are of course hard shoes to fill.but I really enjoyed this hotel for its excellent location, and small personable experience and nicely renovated rooms. It was perfect. It’s a real gem! J’ai hâte de retourner chez Hôtel Mayfair!

Cannot fault this hotel in any way, service, staff, everything was brilliant, bed was so comfortable and the suite was divine. My new favourite hotel in Adelaide. The Mayflower Restaurant was amazing and did not disappoint, we will definitely be back!

Cost over $300 for deluxe king room and was allocated room on 10th floor with brick wall blocking entire view except for small patch of sky.complained to reception staff and was moved to 11th floor.during this process our baggage was misplaced for over an hour.not up to 5 star standards.

Ridiculous. The room wasn’t ready until 4pm, when check in is advertised for 2pm. Left us twiddling our thumbs for two whole hours. For $600 for the night, and getting ripped off 2 hours of the stay is not on! Totally not worth it and quite disappointed. I’m sure there were plenty of other rooms we could have been offered that were ready instead. No explanation as to why. I’ve read other lovely reviews and the place looked really nice, very disappointing that we had this experience with no compensation, money back, upgrade instead, or apology or explanation. Not looking like we will be back.

I have never ordered duck and recieved human hair that wasn't my own in it. I have extremely long brown hair, this hair follicle was a medium length black one. Please adhere to WHS rules and refer to proper food and saftey procedures Mayfair Hotel. If this ever happens again, there's a high chance I'll document it and get it tested at a lab. One of your staff tried to bribe me against making me this review - you cannot bribe someone who is honest and who has worked in the hospitality industry and would NEVER let an order go out like this - ever. Despicable on your end.

1st time ever here the room we had was bloody great and omg the shower was yer I wish I had it home lol. We had a breakfast buffet in the morning, they had just about anything you could want for breakfast

How does it fair? It MAYfairs!

A modern, cozy, and clean hotel just across the street from Rundle Mall. How convenient!

The hotel room itself is pretty ordinary everything you'd expect apart from a bath. One little perk, is the unheard of, complementary minibar.

I like to sleep on a hard mattress and this was just up my alley. The sheet covers were thin, but even then I found it to be too hot. The beds are apparently custom made; which meant nothing because you sleep on the mattress.

Bathroom amenities were not APPELLES as advertised, but another brand called HUNTER LAB. The body lotion smelled werid, not plesent. If I had to describe it in one world, "old people", ok that was two and no offence, but older people DO smell different, go watch the documentary on it.

Unfortunately I was unable to try breakfast, due to the restaurant being closed as a positive COVID case was dining there several days beforehand.

Also something strange, I had 2 random charges on my credit card from Mayfair when I woke up, both declined. Don't know what that is about, maybe a glitch in the system?

Overall, worth it for the location, but just plain ordinary. Haven't came across anything that stands out or goes above and beyond. That deserves a solid 4/5

Delicious restaurant, nice ambience. Haven't stayed in the rooms personally but heard great things about them.

Charming hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Christmas Eve there was a knock at the door and we were given a plate of Christmas shaped biscuits - cute touch. Attentive staff at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Rooms and general areas of hotel very clean and neat. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas Eve celebration for our family.

This is the second time I have stayed at the wonderful Mayfair with my mum. I never thought the first time could be exceeded however this visit was very special. We stayed 2 nights and had all our expectations exceeded. Firstly all the personnel that we came into contact with were fabulous.
A special shout out to Aldred at the Den who remembered us from our last visit and made us feel so welcome back. We dined in both nights and the food and service was outstanding. Thankyou Aldred!
Our room was the same both visits and we love it. The beds are amazing. Our breakfast were great and on the last morning only felt like fruit and the wonderful lady (sorry I didn't get your name)
helping serve us gave us a platter to share! Wow.that was service. The Mayfair is still the best 5 star hotel in Adelaide and all who work there are to be commended as you are an asset to the business. Thankyou for the wonderful memories

Looks are deceiving, this place will surprise you once you get inside. The food was fantastic and looking to go back again soon

A wonderful hotel in a central location close to many small bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were lovely, the room spacious and luxurious, the breakfast at the downstairs restaurant delicious. The only letdown was the rooftop bar, which in my opinion had incredibly unprofessional staff who were talking amongst themselves with their masks over their chin and with their mobile phones out in front of patrons, and the terrible cocktails we received. We ordered French 75s which are pretty common and certainly very classic cocktails, and the bartender had no idea what they were. He was about to put chambord in them before I stopped him! The end result was more lemon juice than gin or sparkling, and were undrinkable, at $20 each.
