Lobethal Bierhaus reviews
84BEST BUFFALO WINGS IN SA (and probably in the entire world). Juicy, crunchy and spicy, they will surely make you lick your fingers. Lovely spot to have lunch outside on the benches when it's sunny and warm, or even inside next to the fireplace when it's cold. Wonderful range of craft beers and soft drinks. A MUST stop if you're going up that way.
Great atmosphere, sitting outside on a lovely afternoon with the kids playing on the lawns out front. Nice choices of food along with all the amazing drink options. Great afternoon and not over the top expensive. The only little thing i could say is the wait to order, could move a little quicker. But thats about it!
My wife and I shared a cheese platter and a great Rose. When we arrived the Lobethal Bierhause was packed as the weather was great, however the service was still personal and the platter was one of the best we had the pleasure of eating.
Try the beer paddle well worth the money (cheap) with 8 samples. Great variety in both beer and food loved the Curry dumping and chunky chips.
Busy on the weekends, so you'll need to book if you want a proper table. The beer paddle is a good introduction to the core range and the Buffalo wings are a must.
Great quick lunch, fresh and delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was great and came with a smile, will be back.
Wait for an hour and still waiting for our food now because of none available menu, the staff didn't tell us at the first time and put our order in the last, serve the food to other tables, totally can not understand the system.it's a really bad experience
Excellent beer, food and staff. Antique racing car and motor cycles to view, along with the excellent industrial plumbing in the brewery.
Great food and great experience, fitted us in for lunch even without a booking, great customer service.
Some of the best wings and a great selection of beers.relaxing drive / ride from the city too make for a perfect lunch spot to get some fresh air out of the city and catch up with friends
Food (and beer) was good, not great. Some of the dishes came out without (or with substituted) ingredients, which was disappointing. Wish they’d advised during ordering as I would likely have changed my mind.
Expect to be served by 18year old-ish girls who are friendly enough but may lack the charisma and passion common from more mature aged staff.
Gret beer, great food and outstanding food service. (Pretty decent wine to choose from too)
To see covid Marshall's actively working. Great experience with some friends and family. Highly recommend lobethal bierhaus for a visit.
Not only a nice venue, but their beers are the best I've tasted. I'm not a beer drinker generally but made the drive just to buy their Extra Hopped India Pale Ale and the Citra Hopped Pilner. Both are amazing!
Tastiest Cuban sandwich ever! They make their own pastrami and it's pure perfection! Friendly helpful staff and fantastic range of beer too
Always excellent food and great beer! The owners Alistair and Rosie are great people and always make you feel welcome. Thanks for a great experience!
Beer.beer.beer.yes it definitely is a Bierhaus! Lol just dont ask for a straw "to go" with your Growler (2L) of a large choice of house made beer. Or maybe just get a taster paddle of beers to sit and spend some quality time in this beautiful (if sadly burned in too many spots) part of our wonderful state. We all tried different dishes off the small but pleasant sounding menu. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Owner took the time to chat even though there was a constant ebb and flow of customers
Best wings in SA.
The only very minor problem is they were super busy so had to sit outside in the sun. Keep supporting #bookthemout
Greatest pastrami sandwich in the Universe, not exaggerating. For this alone it's worth five stars but everything else was perfect too.
Great beers and great food. Nice beer garden outside, roomy beer hall inside with the lovely aroma of beer being brewed. Lots of different beers on tap at very reasonable prices. The paddle (7 tasters) for $15 standard beers $17 specialty beers, is a good way to find which beer fits. Wedges was crispy on outside, amazingly fluffy on the inside. Wedges and beer, life is good.
