Lobethal Bierhaus

We arrived quit late in the evening (20: 15) and altho I am really not used to kitchens closing so early, they really gave us a good service. The food was way better then expected!

Many time visitor and to be honest I only ever order the chicken wings which in my view are the signature dish. The rest of the menu has a little something for almost everyone yet isn't really pub grub - leaning to gastropub style.
Beer selection is outstanding and all brewed in-house with many exceptional examples. Like the wings I don't order anything but the chocolate oatmeal stout which is a triumph.
Atmosphere is amazing and it's always full. Well worth a visit.

We had the lamb and the pulled pork fingers. Both were delicious and well presented. Service was functional and effective.
Well done on doing good quality food.

The Bierhaus had a Pork Ribs special this weekend…
Triple cooked ribs were a revelation.
Thai infused flavors kept the pallet in anticipation of a walk in the foot hills of the Himalayas. Complimented by a perfectly cooked Bok Choi and a rice cake with hints of coriander reminiscent of that little village we don’t speak about. All who tasted were transported to a time and place somehow mysteriously resembling glossy Asian travel magazines.
Nothing beats a fresh crunchy bean shoot either…
It goes without saying that the service was excellent.

The most fabulous food in the Adelaide Hills, partnered with amazing beers.
The staff are always cheerful, friendly and helpful, just the best place for lunch or dinner. Five star establishment.

My first and still my favourite place to get buffalo wings. Paired with a beer tasting paddle and you know its a good day in the hills

Love this place! Amazing food, fantastic home baked wholemeal bread with olive oil and dukka, delicious beer!

That is what most of us looked like after waiting an hour for pizza. The wait was not worth it, the Buffalo Chicken was fine, but the Hawaiian was doughy and inedible. All of this was probably due to the influx of people in Lobethal for the Christmas Lights, but still, not impressed in the slightest.

Nice atmosphere! Good location with easy parking. Friendly staff providing prompt service. Food looks better than it tastes. I was only able to eat one of the lamb filo rolls as the flavour was not what I’d hoped for. The salmon was good. Chorizo pattie was ok. Bread loaf with pumpkin butter was our favourite part of the meal- crispy bread and so tasty. We asked for our chunky chips to be crispy and they were 10/10!

The beer here is excellent, especially the nitro! One of the best breweries for food. The chef has taken time to craft a menu with lots of love that makes it stand out from your standard beer food.

My only constructive feedback would be that the wing marinade is too sweet and this just differentiates them from the traditional flavour expected of the American equivalent.

Anyway, it's always a real treat to visit the Bierhaus, and we will keep coming back!

P.s. Book a table for dinner because all the locals love it too!

I will highly recommend this place. The food and customer service was amazing. Specially the bread, steak, Salmon and chicken wings are must try.

Great place for a meal. Good food and good variety for a good price (great deserts - Licorice cheesecake a favorite - Bev) compared to most venues in the Adelaide hills. Have been many times for the beer and the food. When busy can get noisy, it is a brewery, so quiet time is normally Friday lunch. Best Belgian style beer outside Europe ("Little Devil" - good price) one of my top two favorite (the other is "La Trappe Quadrupel" from Europe - both very strong - beware). Keep up the good work Lobethal.

One of the best restaurant we have been too. Highly recommend if you are going with friends or having an event. The customer service was great and everyone was very welcoming. Will go there again to try the steak, wings, bread and desserts.

Came as 1st customer at the resturant. Staff had big welcoming to the site and pretty much enjoyed while I visited. The only minus 1 star is taste of beer. I might have a bit different of taste compare to others, I tasted most of beer were bitter than any other beer that I used had.

They have some good winter beers at the moment my favourite is the creme brulee. Also really enjoy the buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce.

Always a delight escaping to this award winning brewery and restaurant on a winter’s day, or any day of the year for that matter, in the beautiful township of Lobethal. Our table waited 1 hour & 35 minutes to be served. I asked the owner if that was acceptable and he used the covid excuse. But we literally saw multiple plates of the same dish we ordered go to the new function room. The table next to us also received their food (same dishes) before us, even though they arrived well after we did. He also hugged them goodbye; clearly knowing the owner gets you served ahead of waiting customers.

A little honesty would have been appreciated but instead, we were taken as fools. The food was acceptable, but we will never return.
