Lantern by Nu

Very good Thai restaurant with a cool bar vibe. Excellent food and great cocktails. Not your typical suburban Thai. If you like a fun slightly noisy cool place, Lantern is for you.

Not only was the food amazing but the service was amazing. Even on some of the busiest nights the food is always on point. We had people on our table with allergies and they still did amazing making sure we were all accommodated. This place is 10/10!

Was looking forward to date night with my wife at Lantern by Nu. Had heard great reviews about the food and service. Booked a table well in advance and was advised that our table would be in the garden due to being a nice Evening.upon arrival we were taken out past the DJ stand to be shown to a small narrow bench (sitting side by side) behind the coffee machine facing the street.and a steel barstall.no view though as the blinds had to be down. We were hidden away out of sight listening to bar chatter and coffee being made looking at the dark blinds 30 cm in front of me. (Absolutely not what I booked) I initially complained to the waiter who said "if you don't want this seat someone else will". You my friend can keep it. We left without even looking at the menu. Thanks for ruining date night Lantern by Nu. I'm sure the foods amazing, would have been nice to have had a table to sit at to have tried it.

Very disappointed. Ordered beef cheeks.
*Order arrived at table within 4 min of ordering. Interesting.
*Meat had a strange flavour and was overcooked, almost had turned into mash.
*Only about 3 tables spoons of curry served with it
*Rice was dry and looked old
Only could eat half the dish, expressed my concerns and was told they will tell the chef and asked me if I had eaten there before. $42. What a shame.

Amazing Thai food that is very authentic and of the highest quality. This restaurant is supported by a really friendly team who always provide great customer service. Thank you Lantern by Nu!

Online booking system is terrible - no one emailed/called to confirm the booking, and a result of this we were unable to dine here.

Thank you Nu, fabulous food and great atmosphere, our friends raved all the way home. The most delicious food they have had on a long time, we will all return soon.

The most amazing restaurant In Adelaide by far! I highly recommend Lantern by Nu! You won’t be disappointed with the quality of food and service! Perfect!

Paid $38 for a Wagu beef dish with a 3 chilli rating normally can eat quite comfortably but this dish was well in excess of 3 chillis it was inedible. I told the waitress as my dish was virtually untouched but they appeared not interested. Would never go back or recommend.

Wow, what a find! Best Thai in Adelaide and in my opinion, Golden Boy is a poor man's Lantern by Nu. Funky atmosphere, diverse range of flavours and spices. Fresh and spicy. The balance of flavours are perfect.
