Portion is pretty big, but doesn't over compensate the quality.
Probably best thai/fusion restaurant to date.

Greater focus on traditional features without going too contemporary. Prompt service, proper spectrum of flavours, lively decor. Definitely returning.

Probably my favourite restaurant in Adelaide at the moment. Have been there 3 times, each time requesting the feed me menu. Trust me, you do not walk away hungry. You actually need to roll out of the establishment. Staff are great and attentive and the food is top notch. Real funky venue as well. Heaps of vegan options!

Visited Lantern by Nu again last week and this being one of our favourite restaurants in Adelaide, we felt the food was far better the first time we visited compared to the second. But it doesn't mean the food was bad but the food choice specifically the flavour in tiger prawn was not to our liking. But overall it's still one of our favourite restaurants.

I have been to several Thai restaurants but I don't think any of them can measure to Lantern by Nu. When I first walked in, I loved the vibe of the restaurant, it is just esthetically pleasing to look at. The staff members are so welcoming as everyone greets you and you just feel so comfortable being here. Now let's talk about the food, which was what blew my mind. Every single dish that was severed to us was amazing. We did the feed me menu which was $65. The amount of food we got versus the quality, it was out of this world. Everything was cooked perfectly, balanced with the Thai herbs and spices that complemented every single dish that came out, from beef cheek curry, lamb curry, salt and pepper squid to the oysters. I was told this restaurant was great, but this literally blew my mind. I'm so coming back here again.

Very disappointing. Food and service was appalling. We ordered two entree and two mains all which arrived within 5 mins of ordering. When discussed with waitress that we didn’t want this, she commented that the chef was quick with no apology or offer to provide the mains after entrees finished. The entrees were overcooked and dry - squid tentacles and chive dumplings. The pad Thai was ok but the lamb shoulder curry had 5-6 small pieces of lamb that were 90 % fat. A $42 inedible dish. We fed this back to the waitress who laughed and said she would let the chef know. Will def not recommend or return.

First review I've ever bothered writing and we eat out a lot. Many places claim great food and service - but this place backs it up BIG time! This is the best Thai restaurant we have ever been to, including any of the top ones in Melbourne. The service from ALL staff was incredible and the food from the start to end (we had the chef's 'Nu Taste' choice) was simply amazing! Cocktails topped off the best dining out experience we have had in a very long time! Sensational guys! See you again soon!

Food was flavoursome, although very pricey for basic dishes. Three out of 10 meals were missed and came very late. Not somewhere I would go out of my way to go back to

How good is this place? Very!
I didn't even know this place existed, if you don't know it's there you will drive/ walk right by.
We had a large group and pretty much had everything on the menu and there were no complaints.
Beef cheeks, lamb curry, eggplant and chicken wings were the stand outs. The cocktails were really good as well.
As good as the food was the service, the waitresses was helpful and honest.
We will be coming back or at the least ordering for takeout!

Dissapointing that they couldn't get our 2 dinners out at the same time or even close together. Dinner for 2 people should be 100% served together or atleast in quick succession. I Lightly mentioned this and the manager proceeded to waste quite a bit of time trying to change our opinion on the matter, further detracting from the night. Overall I'm sure it's hit and miss on service, but if it's bad don't expect them to care.

Man oh man. Legit review because I don't even like Thai food and this place blew my mind. Portions were so generous, food was so delicious and service was so so friendly. What a fantastic restaurant, I have been recommending it left, right and Centre to anyone who would care to listen. Keep up the good work, guys!

Great food and atmosphere. All of the food was delicious and full of flavour and staff are friendly and attentive.

Fantastic as always! Brilliant food - the eggplant & squid were light & crunchy, the vongole full of spice & flavour & 2 old favourites the pork belly & beef cheek as scrumptious as ever. I think Nu would be run out of town if he ever took the beef cheeks off the menu! Service was fun & attentive - thank you girls for keeping the Margaritas coming

The best review I have ever given. This is the best Thai food experience I've had in Australia, an amazing restaurant for both an intimate dinner or a group meal. You will be welcomed by the most amazing, entertaining and knowledgeable Maître-d' and given fantastic personalised recommendations. You will then be provided incredible floor service (I would insist on one of their beautiful cocktails) and, easily the highlight, served food, the taste of which will linger with you for hours after you leave this venue. I had the Crying Tiger beef and tasted the Pad Thai and king prawn, honestly I wouldn't know which to pick next time as they are all of supreme quality (the best Pad Thai you will eat). We were lucky enough to get a spot in here last minute as this place is on fire but I urge you to book in advance and ensure your place in this divine restaurant. Big thank you to all the staff tonight who made this the unforgettable dining experience it was!

I recommend it to anyone it's a must go to.the food is realy amazing so much flavour the best thgi in adelaide my wife and I went last year with group of friend's the owner's and the staff are such amazing and friendly people will be defenly be going again

Came for a work lunch and was not disappointed. Not easily visible as it's tucked away from the main roads, but will easily recommend to others and come here again myself! The staff were all extremely friendly and attentive and has a great decor and atmosphere. Food was amazing and full of flavour

One of my Fave places to eat at in Adelaide. Would recommend for the smallest occasion to a big one. Staff are freindly and happy to help

It's a must if you want a great meal and time

Delicious food, very agreeable and efficient staff. Great pad thai for anyone that doesnt't like chilli or who just loves pad thai - best i have eaten. We also had delicious oysters, salt and pepper baby squid, prawn patty. Shared mains of the previously mentioned pad thai, beef cheeks and rice. We had heaps of food and plenty to take away for later. Highly recommended.
