Lakes Hotel reviews
61LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The motel room with the large spa and balcony is absolutely amazing not to mention the food is to die for!
Good extensive menu with plenty of options, including for vegetarians. Recently renovated bar with plenty of craft and local beers. Nice view of the lake.
Went to my Nephew's 21st birthday party last night. Loved the ambiance of our location, the catering and service was fantastic. Food was just absolutely beautiful. All enjoyed!
Needs a bit of work. Service was good - food was poor.
I ordered a steak and chips off the room service menu and got sliced steak and soggy potatoe medallions with wrong topping.
Room was ok. Pool room seemed dirty.
Mattress on the bed was sub standard.
Beautiful location, very clean and well planned room. Lunch meal not so good meaning salad gooy. But breakfast magnificent previous meals stays have always been the best, we stay in lots of resorts from cairns to broome. Thanku lakes resort.
The breakfast is fabulous and the room tidy, with a lovely and relaxing view of the lakes. No microwave or cooking facilities, but you shouldn't miss the on premises food and drink that you can have delivered (a selection, anyhow) right to your room. Otherwise, it's a short walk downstairs or to local eateries. My only criticism would be to clean up rubbish around the parimiter of the hotel, particularly the lake shoreline, as it can spoil the otherwise lovely view.
The room was large with a king bed and a great views. Unable to use balcony due to high winds. The Bistro was a different story very noisy and full of shoppers from the Centre opposite who are and drank for Oz. Breakfast was complimentary and considerably more civilized.
This is a beautiful resort and event venue at the West Lakes. The Spa Rooms are large and comfortable with breathtaking views to the palm-lined lake. The entire hotel radiates quality and comfort. The staff, from reception to restaurant to cleaning is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Prices include buffet breakfast, wifi and car parking.
Rooms clean several resteraunts and staff very helpfull. Shopping centre across road and great views of the rowing on the river each morning. Overall very pleasent stay. Will be back.
Was there for a wedding was a buffet food was really bad. Ran out of roast beef and chicken so had to have lamb. Vegetable sides were average. Service was great the facility was great. Packet brownies l mix from Costco would of made a better last course then what we got.
Very disappointing, lovely venue I had a stir fry which was tasteless with huge lumps of cabbage and little else. Seven meals all ok stir fry worse one ever.
We love the Lakes we have had many celebrations there including our daughters wedding. Today our granddsughters 16th birthday started well greeting family and taking photos when front of house gentleman asked us to hurry up and order in a way which changed the mood in the family. Adult meals were very nice, kids meals all overcooked.
Great place to enjoy a meal along with veggie and salad bar. If you like a punt on the horses great facility. Cold beer on tap at a dear price would be my only complaint. And we enjoyed the pokie room with a small win.ha ha.
Its alwaya a great mini break to come and stay here. Rooms are fantastic and clean. Great location. Room service is always great!
Ask to remove hat in pokie room first time ever ask to apparently security risk never asked at any casino so I'm guessing they get robbed a lot by hatted people
This is a popular place for seniors during the week for dinner, and has a nice salad bar. There is also a huge sports bar and screen. The sports area is very popular at night and also has counter food till late.
Had dinner at the lakes and the food was really good, the prices are good not expensive and the sizes of the meals are enough to make you full.
Manager allowed people to sit in an area, then when I requested we weren’t allowed. And then walked off mid conversation ignoring our family of 6. Very rude for a manager. Poor poor poor.
The Lakes is a well class venue. Relaxing views of the Lake. Very good staff. A more up market hotel, with great staff every where. Worth the visit at any time.
A wonderful venue. Huge. Friendly service. Comfortable rooms with good amenities. A few more coat hangers wouldn't go astray tho.only had 6 for two of us. Had to ask for more towels. Dinner at Neptunes was fabulous but slow as it was pretty packed for a Monday. Buffet breakfast was superb.all you can eat cereal, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, toast, coffee, tea, juice, etc.
