Kintaro Sushi reviews
63Amazing sushi. Has always been super fresh. Friendly staff. It’s not too small either, unlike other sushi places I have been to. You don’t feel super cramped
3.5 stars. It's not the best sushi I have tried but it is not bad. It is a place to have something to eat if you don't know what to get or if you are really hungry. However, it is better than other sushi train I might say
Very ordinary service and sushi was not the best. Maybe because it was a busy Saturday, but it was quite a disappointing experience
Poor service - ignored when we walked in the door, had to ask for water. Barely any plates on the train despite peak Saturday night trading. Would skip for far superior options
We have been going to Norwood Kintaro for the last year or so the first few times were great, very busy and we often had to wait for a table and the food was good but the last few times we have been, it has been absolutely terrible. The place looks deserted with lots of empty tables and chairs and the Sushi Train has barely any plates of food and the food that is on there looks as if it has been there all week. The tables are dirty and on the last occasion (today) there were flies everywhere, even sitting on cutting boards while the sushi was being made, no effort was made to clean the cutting boards or to get rid of the flies. That was enough for us to leave.
Used to be ok, but has gone downhill fast! Rude, arrogant staff who ignore you, average sushi that is left on the train way too long. If you want to order fresh dishes be prepared to wait a long time. They pay no attention to flies all over the dishes or dirty plates and bits of food on the train. Don’t waste your money!
If your into Sushi, get into here. Never had tried sushi before, It is very good, much better than I thought
The place is bigger and can accommodate more people but I find the staff that took our order less friendly
Great food, first experience with this style of restaurant and I must say I enjoyed it and will hopefully busy again soon.
Great meals, couldnt tell what some things were due to being covered in sauce, accidentally got a salmon dish instead of a chicken dish but was still very nice
Great flavours and friendly staff. Recently renovated to include booths making dining here even more enjoyable with friends.
We are loyal Sushi Train regulars (Grenfell st for many years). Have tried Kintaro a few times now and each time left somehow unfulfilled. The sushi is good, but the overall experience is impersonal and cold. Not rude, not friendly. I think customers need a bit more to become loyal.
Extremely poor service and freshness of the food maybe they were ALL having bad a day (that’s fine everyone has one) but at least put customers first when it comes to this style of business. Everything is else is fine!
We go here during a week night for quick and easy, delicious food. Always fresh and high turnover rate!
It's alright, not Japanese, no real wasabi, somewhat pricey plates, sushi on the train could be fresher, and when we order from the menu, we mean to avoid the sushi on the train. Yet they just pulled items off the track for us. But overall it wasn't bad, and we were hungry
I regularly go to Kintaro Sushi Train and the food is always excellent and the atmosphere is always great. It seems like they're a little understaffed sometimes, but it's fine.
Food was delicious and good prices. Staff was very friendly. Some sushi plates are not named on the dish.
The sushi is good if it ever comes out! The waiting staff need a better grasp of the English language!
Great value for money. Sometimes the variety of plates is poor depending on the time of day. It can get busy on weekends and evenings so be prepared for a wait if you have a large party of diners
