Kimba Gateway Hotel reviews
46 Excellent food, fair priced.
And Congratulations to real straw straws in our drinks and locally produced guestsoap in our room!
The new way to go in this current climate!
Amazing food & service. Great country pub vibe. Best steak I’ve had for a very long time! Definitely our favourite country pub, love coming here for a meal when we’re in Kimba!
Staff were super friendly, however my medium rare porterhouse was half medium and half rare, total of 10 chips and the greek salad was the smallest portion ever and definitely not greek, drinks reasonably priced
After driving more than 5 hours we went here for dinner. Good sized meals. Had to ask for a doggy bag! Lovely service. Nice and clean. Will return one day
Normally very positive about accommodation, but was disappointed with the very poor cleanliness of the sink, bathroom and shower recess. Stains and dirt build-up in drains and surfaces grimy. Window ledges covered in dust and dirt and floor felt dirty.
Friendly staff, fabulous Curry and pulled pork roast. Room was comfortable, however they have a bit of a mouse problem. A couple of visitors in our room overnight (not their fault)
Stayed in the executive suite. A well appointed room in the old post office building. Our group had dinner in the hotel. Very busy and meals a bit slow coming out but not too bad. Typical pub menu.
Very clean and well kept bar/restaurant, with good staff, good food, and good music. The breakfast room makes for a great venue, and the beer garden makes for great summer days.
WIFI is free and top quality.
Great meals, reasonable prices, beautiful old pub.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Loved the free courtesy bus from the free camping spot on Wednesday night.
We travel a lot for work. Stayed here before.was overpriced but during 2020 who cares.
This time we were only able to get a budget room.traveling with a dog. Booked a double got twin.
One of the beds broken as in the springs were unsprung. Covers stained. Carpets really stained. Aircon filter had to be washed before we could use it.totally caked. No fridge.
Shared bathrooms had no practical hanging space and no shelf for toiletries.
Shower window ledge had multiple old soaps left there.
Unimpressed. $99.
The food was delicious, service was speedy and the atmosphere is great. The rooms are large, well cleaned and in great condition!
Absolutely beautiful place to stay, nothing but positive experiences during our stay here, would definitely recommend!
The Kimba Gateway is a great place to stay AND eat! We enjoyed a few nights in the Post Office Rooms and they were fantastic! Spacious, spotless and so well appointed we really enjoyed the stay. Then dinner was amazing with one of the best pizzas and schnittys we have had. Look forward to coming back.
Absolute great atmosphere and a friendly vibe the staff are a delight and the food scrumptious. Worth a Bear Hug.
For the only hotel in Kimba it is pretty good. Plenty of space, nice decor & decent pub meals.
I always enjoy my stay when coming for work and the food is fantastic, well worth the stop even if you are just passing through! So accommodating and lovely people
One of the few Sunday lunch options on the Eyre highway. Beer garden out the back if you don't want to leave your dog in the car.
Great little country pub with really good service and a handy dog friendly outdoor area - would recommend
We stopped in for lunch as we traveled through. Awesome menu, good service and delicious food. Well worth the pitstop.
The room was good except it could do with an extra curtain on one of the windows. The meals were great. I had the beef schnitzel and it was nice and crispy with lots of sauce and chips and a nice salad
