Beautiful place with an amazing function room. Dinner was delicious. Killpatrick Beef Snitty ($33) and a Chicken Snitty ($27). Would come back.
Decent meal with the locals.

Had lunch here recently. The service was fast & friendly. Good choices from the menu & specials too. Portions were nice size & food tasty.

A modest 3 stars from me.
The service was great; they managed to fit me in a room off the cuff, for which I am very grateful! Staff are friendly.
Negatives is that the pulled pork was clearly not made that day. It was extremely dry, tough and very hard to swallow. A real shame, as the burger was pretty good.
The room was as you would expect from an outback town. Nothing to sing about, but done the job with a reasonable degree of comfort.
All in all, I suspect it to be the best place in that town, so worth going to if you need a feed and a place to rest the bonnet.
Lovely old building with a good atmosphere, I must add.

Only 1 chair in room. Not enough towelling, facewash ers, double doona on queen bed. No doona cover? Heating/cooling good.

Loved this place. After a long day of driving I needed a good meal a hot shower and a comfy bed and I got all three in spades. I tend to go to my old fav chicken parmi when I eat at a new pub and this one didn't disappointment. Thick succulent piece of chicken with a scrumptious topping. Well worth the drive. I had a side of onion rings to go with it and they were just as impressive. The room was in the period of the hotel which is what you'd expect. It was large and homely and the best part was the bed was amazingly comfy. I slept like a baby. I highly recommend staying at the Kimba Gateway Hotel.

Came for dinner, and it was very busy. Just beat a fellow to a table and invited him to join us. He did. Very enjoyable conversation. Food was pub food, nice. Beer was cold and very enjoyable.

Lovely accommodation after a long days driving. The room was clean enough for a country pub, could do with a deep clean to get into corners etc, but a good standard that one would expect in a country stopover town. The bed was beautifully comfortable and clean. Nice touch with a little cereal, milk, juice box and piece of fruit for breakfast. We arrived at 9pm, so didn’t eat in the pub but it looked lovely inside. The lady who checked us in was really helpful, welcoming and kind, as we booked only a couple hours before we arrived. Would highly recommend for a peaceful rest on your travels. Aircon was great too. Thank you so much. We’ll definitely stop again in the future.

Pretty normal accommodation. Not particularly impressed by it. I suppose it is as good as it gets for Kimba. My room had a smell

Booked a standard room and was very lucky to get the Old Post Office room! What a great surprise at the end of a long drive.
Everything from the guy who answered the phone to the food were brilliant.
Home made rissoles really did the trick. My wife back in Sydney already bought some of the Small Town Soap online after I showed her a picture!
Thanks Gateway Hotel

Superb meals
Great friendly service.
Clean tidy rooms.
Big modern bar.

Could have done with another bar staff, we could have drank more but just one guy, he was just too busy doing check ins beers and meals.
Will be back

The Kimda Hotel is a great place for a meal and cold beverage after a long days travelling or sight seeing. Menu is great and the food is well prepared. Very warm atmosphere in this fully refurbished pub.

Welcomed by friendly staff. Basic room but was all we needed after a long day driving. So very pleased the bed was comfortable and the steak we had delivered to the room was top notch.

We chose to stay in this hotel as it’s off the main highway. Our meals at dinner were very nice. We ordered a pot of mint lavender tea as advertised on the menu however we were told there is no lavender tea and no pots. We were given two mugs of another tea in place of the $5 we paid for each pot which I guess would have been equivalent quantity. I don’t think Lavender tea should be advertised if it’s not available. The staff was friendly with good sense of humour. We stayed in a budget room with communal bathroom. Fortunately we were the only ones staying in the budget room therefore we had the bathroom to ourselves. In the morning, the cleaner was in there after only one of us had a shower. When I went in to have my shower, the cleaner had already taken the floor towel out of there. Seeing as checkout is at 10am, I don’t think the communal bathroom should be cleaned until after that time. We were provided a breakfast pack as a bonus which consisted of cereal, juice and milk. Quiet spot to stay. Heating worked well.

Stayed the night while crossing the Nullarbor ordered the 300gr porterhouse medium rare, It was on the rare side but the meat was such good quality it didn’t matter it was delicious. Rooms are a little dated but clean and a comfy bed.

Awesome pub dinner. All our meals were lovely - the grilled salmon and salad was especially good. They also had an extensive range of GF and veggie options. The bar staff were super friendly, and especially helpful with finding a dessert option for our coeliac daughter.

Kimba with its silo art is a huge drawcard, but they don't cater for caravan traffic near main street. "Tumby Bay" pasties were the best I've tasted in many years. Hotel provided a bench to eat them.
