60Thanks for a tasty meal. Food was brought out quickly and the staff were lovely. They even ran out to bring my glasses I forgot on the table. So kind thank you very much. We all enjoyed and will come back again.
Simple and tasty! Prices are affordable too! Sweet eggplant miso was a delight. It did take some time to be served but it arrived beautifully. 5/5 for sweet eggplant! Pork katsu curry was 3/5 since meat was a little tough but manageable. Chicken yakitori was the bomb! It was so tender and the chicken was well marinated. Portions are generous too. Great place for lunch while in Rundle!
Ordered a katsu don, instead of being served with a crispy pork, it's tasteless and covered with scrambled egg. It's like eating a piece of tissue dropped into a kitchen sink.
Tiny Japanese restaurant in Gay’s Mall, off the Adelaide Arcade in the Rundle St Mall. Excellent lunch, reasonable prices. We had Yakitori Set and a Kani Korroke set both at $12.50. Came with Miso soup, pickle, steamed rice and salad. Both were delicious. We’ll be back, next time in town.
Just ordered takeaway for a Katsu don set and was disappointed to see very soggy rice and the pork was also quite soggy. Lunchtime I would think this place will have better preparation but the rice looks like it just came out of rice cooker and that they put way too much water than it was supposed to be.
My workplace is a 2minute walk from this place and it's always been convenient but the old menu was better. Did the chef change after the new ownership too?
Hidden away in one of Adelaide’s smaller arcades but conveniently located just off Rundle mall.
I’ve been coming here for years and the quality of the meals has always been consistent.
Their tori-teriyaki set has the best teriyaki chicken I’ve ever found in Australia. Somehow they get it nice and crispy yet full of flavour.
Every dish on the menu is a winner here. The food service is quite fast too!
Everything was great! We had our first date here and a year later re-lived it! And, it was just as great as the first time!
Excellent taste, good value for katsu curry and a variety of their don sets. MUST try their spring rolls! Specially recommended if you’re a vegetarian. I’ve been there many times, very friendly staffs, nice onwer. I’d recommend this lovely place if you are looking for good Japanesefoods.
Best japanese restaurant in the rundle mall, low price, high quality, delicious food, also staffs are so warm and nice, say thank u all the time.also lunch time always so busy, but we can see they try to make it as soon as possible, chicken and pork also the una don is my favourite.it was delicious.
Great food, great service, staffs always say sorry, when they let u wait a bit for u food coz too many people during the lunch, definitely will come back.and curry is the best in the city.love it.
I've been a regular customer for 10 years and it has been great, even through the Japanese to Chinese owner transition several years ago. These past few months the quality, service and quantity has declined. Just recently my order was modified without notice due to low stock. Very disappointed and sad it has gone this far downhill.
I'm one of the regular customer since 2010.but the food is not the same anymore after new management. I tried $16 Unadon today.really disappointed.will never go back.
Their Japanese food is good. The staff is friendly, the location is nice and it's reasonably quiet.
Traditional Japanese restaurant, nice curry rice but prefer more veges. I think the tea can change into tea leafs because that suits the theme of Japanese more. As a Japanese food culture lover, I wish I can hear waitress saying Welcome in Japanese but never mind In peak hours it’s really crowded, so remember to pick a table before ordering lol Moreover, it will be really good if they provide table water instead of have to order a drink.
Quiet, friendly, Japanese. Great, fresh, well prepared and presented food with a very reasonable price tag. Loved it.
One of the hidden gems of adelaide. Feel free to pop in for a quick lunch or a filling dinner. All meals comes (very) generously sized with a inexpensive price tag. Feel free to dine inside or out. Top notch taste with a nice atmosphere.
One of my favourite Terriyaki chicken place! One of the better ones in Adelaide, crispy skin and tasty sauce. Staff used to be Japanese, but have been replaced by Chinese ones recently? Not sure
I've eaten here about three times already and i have loved it each time over, the food is really authentic and enjoyable to have in any type of weather.
I waited for around 20 mins or so to get my food served. Late for work afterwards. The food is ok, but it's just not authentic.
I have been thoroughly disappointed by so called Japanese restaurants in Adelaide. No more. This place do it right, for 10 to 12 dollars. Big portions, right flavours, the only thing to improve is the service and maybe the dishes's presentation.
