Joan's Pantry - Closed Public Holidays reviews
68Cute cafe with area out back under the leafy canopy which is a delight on a sunny day. Thankful for a bounty of creative vegan options which were delicious (the gnocchi and Vietnamese salad plus fancy Sweet Nectar treats for dessert). Great spot!
Delicious food and great customer service! Will definitely return. The Green Veggie bowl was so yum!
Beautifully situated in the skirts of Blackwood making it is a true treasure for locals and visitors to the area. Food is incredibly fresh and fulfilling perfect for satisfying any appetites and preferences. Staff friendly and a comfortable atmosphere suitable for going in a group, pair or simply on one's own.
Lovely spot for a light lunch. Fast and efficient service, delicious fresh burgers and foccacias with a freshly squeezed juice. Perfect for these warmer days ahead of us.
Delicious food, friendly staff and a beautiful location with lovely walking/playing spaces immediately adjacent
Food is really good, have sat outside and in and both are great. Added haloumi to my meal today and it was by far the most delicious haloumi I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). I really wanna know where it was from!
Service is good: the food came out quickly. I thought you’d be able to talk to someone on arriving to be shown your reserved table but there was a long queue of people ordering and staff are busy so we just sat down anywhere and grabbed our own menus.
Great coffee and quaint location. The food is of a high standard and the staff are friendly. Service was quick. Parking can be difficult with limited areas for parking nearby.
Fabulous cafe with plenty of gluten and dairy free options on the menu. Outdoor seating option is situated far enough from the road that you can't hear the traffic and there is a small veggie garden around the back that is open for visitors to walk through. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting this place and will be back very soon!
Joan’s is our local for brunch on the weekend. Always busy but can always get a table and never waiting too long on your order. Awesome large outdoor area where you can bring your dog!
Great food and great service. A great place. A warning. Traffic and parking can be a problem. Book ahead, because they are busy.
Stopped in for a chai and sweet potato fries, reasonable price and good food, my chai went cold while I was on the phone so i only drank half and was asked if it was ok and whether I wanted a replacement. Can't fault them. I'll be back to try more food soon.
First time we have ever stopped here. Won't be back. For a start, my name isn't f'in Karen and I don't appreciate being called it. 1 takeaway coffee and a banana bread. Shouldn't take 20mins. Banana bread was disgusting. Staff nice, continued to ask me what I was waiting for and did nothing about it.
First time being here but a bit disappointed. Service was cold, average food and coffee, with the same price you can have so much more in any other cafe around Adelaide.
Being a long time customer due to location and lack of other cafes within walking distance, I've put up with the lack of customer service and more importantly, staff personality, or lack of! The only decent staff member was "Will" who no longer works there unfortunately. Today the first day of lockdown, I ventured there to get out of the house with the kids and to buy a take away coffee and vanilla slice. I understand the rules of the lockdown, so when I entered without a mask, I knew it'd cause an issue. I was met with abruptness and rudeness. When I was told I had to wear a mask, I notified the male staff member I had a medical exemption, at which point he asked what the exemption was. Subsequently I responded that it was none of his business and I was told to go outside. Had he been polite, I would've shown the doctors letter. When he came out, I asked him why he was so scared and I was met with the response that there's rules to follow. I reminded him that I had an exemption and he had no right to question me. I also told him I was a long time customer and that I'd never return. He bid me farewell with a smart arse "have a nice day" and I responded by telling him to "f@$k off". I understand there are rules, but I also am following the rules and do not deserve rudeness or having to disclose personal information for his benefit. Lastly, the vanilla slice had a hair in it, so that was thrown out. I'll never return to Joans Pantry.
Very beautiful cafe, located in beautiful place… food was very good, worth of price. My most favourite was blueberry scone with cream and jam, if you are okay to indulge in some carbs … All in all must try
Excellent service and delicious food! A good menu!
Can be noisy if a lot of people are there, but didn't have problem this morning!
Nice atmosphere, bit yuppy.
Banana bread, med coffee and a juice cost $19.
Banana bread was more like coconut and flour.
Not worth it tbh and I love supporting local but theres alot to be desired
Amazing food, and good coffee. Don't let the crowded entrance fool you, there may be space in the back
Very disappointed with the service this morning. Ordered two take away coffees and was specifically asked to wait outside for them to be brought out to us as the cafe was busy. After awkwardly standing outside in the cold for over 25 minutes, I went back inside to ask how much longer they would be. I lined up again to ask only to finally find out they’d been sitting on a inside counter for ‘quite a while’ and no one had bothered to bring them out to us. After such a wait the warm-ish coffees were very unsatisfying
Nice place. Lost quite a bit of its rustic charm with the renovations and is now quite echoey inside. Recommend sitting outside instead. Glad they kept their community vege patch and the outside tables areas still relaxed and cozy.
Good food
