The restaurant was in a lovely location with a beautiful view, but unfortunately that’s where it ended.
We were so happy to get the last serve of Zucchini flowers but they were awful. Normally a zucchini flower is battered in a light tempura, but these were in a crunchy, think batter that would be used on fish. The stuffing also tasted awful.
My mum ordered the buffalo wings and she said the flavour was awful and didn’t finish them (she hates wasting food, so for her to not finish is saying something!).
I ordered the fish of the day which was barramundi in a prawn and rice broth. The portion of barramundi was tiny, the “prawns” were tiny shrimps and the rich and broth had a horrible flavour.
The meal together with the bottle of mineral water came to $107. Even if the meal cost half that I would have felt I’d wasted too much.
Definitely would not be a restaurant I’d recommend: (

Such a lovely place - great views and nice ambience. Waitress could not have rushed us more initially - spouting out the menu specials before any of us had time to even register that she was talking! Took a while before we were asked for our drinks order - then it took ages for them to come - we nearly thought the food would come before the drinks! Food was good - I had a Lamb Schnitzel which I found a little dry and could have had some more gravy. Other guests enjoyed theirs. It seems that we were forgotten once our meals had been served - I don't recall being asked for another round of drinks - everyone did enjoy their desserts.

Lovely place but some attention to service would make this a great Sunday afternoon lunch spot!

Thanks Evan for hosting a great night for our group of eight. The service and ambiance were great and you helped us to find some great wines to enjoy with our meals. Most of our meals were definitely gastro-pub delicious and beautifully presented. The two lamb dishes though didn't quite hit the spot.

Some of the local wines are really world class and well worth seeking out.

Cheers

We had 4 amazing and very tasty meals here last Saturday. Not only was the food great, the staff were so helpful. We had a gluten allergy in the group, and the staff were only too happy to help with that. Deserts were nice too! We look forward to coming back.

Delicious meal and service quite prompt despite being warned there would be a delay as their kitchen was short staffed. Pleasant waiting staff. Warm and cosy on a wintery day

Warning Will Robinson WARNING! This place used to be the destination foodie pub in the region but alas it hasn't been for a while. Menu looks good although a little pricey but the quality of the food is terrible. Service was ok this time but we've experienced the same poor service mentioned in the reviews before. $41 sirloin steak with no veg (a mouthful of parsnip puree and some sort of bone marrow something doesn't count), full of fat and grisel and undercooked. Too much consideration to get the chargrill right but forgot to cook the steak. It was somewhere between rare and medium rare and I asked for medium. We could have added a bowl of potatoes or fries or two other veg options for $8. That's $8 each. We dropped in for a mini trial run ahead of an 18th b'day but we will be looking elsewhere.

Very disappointed to arrive and there is a reduced menu. This menu wasn’t put in place prior to making our booking, very disappointing that all bookings for over the weekend etc weren’t informed.

Came all the way from the other side of town for a birthday lunch and left extremely disappointed by the lack of options (not even one vegetarian option, all they could offer was a frozen fake schnitzel).

Friday lunch. Service very good. Views lovely. Flathead HUGE n steak on point. Limited menu but plenty of choice. Wine n beer menu extensive. New menu coming soon. Couldn’t fault anything and I don’t say that often.

What a special place, perfect for weddings, the staff were amazing, very accommodating. The food was really nice too. There were a couple of people in wheelchairs, they had a golf cart to transport them up the hill. Not sure the prices as we were guests at the wedding. I give this establishment 11/10.

Amazing spot for a Gin and Craft beer, the history in the pub is Impressive and worth checking out.

Food was a bit bland the squid salad lacked flavour but the steak sandwich was decent.

Staff where friendly and polite

Lunch in this amazing 1857 building, overlooking green hills with sheep entertaining us. What a lovely place. We were warmly welcomed and the staff are great. Try their house made gin menu & enjoy the food. Totally recommend the mushroom gnocci! Thanks Inglewood Inn for making my sister's birthday lunch so special. Sorry I didn't take any photos!

1 of the stars is for nice looking hotel and dining room, the other for the beautiful view.
Can not comment on the food other than it looked good when it went pass to other tables!
We were on time for bkg then seated. Half hour later drink and food order taken (decided against
Entrees as they didn't seem to be coping) was also going to have dessert.
Drinks arrived after awhile but after it had to be changed.

1hr 50 minutes later still no food (steak sandwich?) We got up paid for the drinks and got takeaway on way home. Will try one more time but NEVER on a weekend!

Food today was disgusting, not sure if you have changed Chef or not? If so get the old one back. The chicken parmigiana tasted like something you would buy frozen at the supermarket, not to mention the sharp bone that was in the fillet! The side salad looked like it was placed there just to fill a spot on the plate. A couple of months ago the dish came with a beautiful 1/4 of lettuce drizzled with a vinegar like dressing. The cheese today was only just allowed to melt before serving. I've added a photo taken during the last visit so you can see the difference.

The other dish was a steak, this too was disgusting, the meat looked like the cheapest budget cut you could get. Was served sliced, which means it was sliced while it was cooked! Who does this? This allows all of the juice to escape whilst cooking. Last time was a nice piece of char grilled steak! All up, just over $80 including two glasses of Coca-Cola which were probably the best tasting part of the meal.

The staff also acted like they just didn't want to be there and that it was a chore.

Sorry Inglewood Inn, this was our third visit and will definitely be the last.
