Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park reviews
51An awesome place to visit for a couple of days. There's plenty to do here. Lots of walks to different types of places. Driving through the gorges is a great way to see the sights too.
What's not to love!
If you haven't been then you're missing out on some of the best Australia has to offer
A priceless landmark for anyone with a 4wd to enjoy, limited camping available so make sure you book your spots before you head up there.
Fascinating landscape just far enough away from the city of Adelaide to make the trip possible for everyone with the drive.
Did a couple hikes at the flinders rangers, great spot to hike and the rewards at the end are the spectacular views! Amazing scenery and also a good place to camp!
Dry as a bone most of the time, some relatively human-free places can be found, lots of walking trails, picturesque hills, dry creeks may turn to roaring streams quickly, flies but few mozzies. Camp sites are quite shady.
Beautiful location with good facilities. Loved happy hour at the Ikara bar each day at 5 pm.
The hikes were quite challenging. I would encourage inexperienced hikers to take the long way (12km) to St Mary's peak as we came across quite a few people in trouble on the shorter/steeper route (6km).
Beautiful place, breathtaking scenery, so many great photo opportunities and a wonderful experience for all kinds of people
Dry at the present time.the views are fantastic and walking trails are everywhere.something for everyone
Just a great place. Able to get to most points of interest in a normal sedan, so don't worry about getting a 4wd.
He'll of a walk or should I say climb, be prepared, lots of water, scenery incredible, be well prepared.
The Flinders Ranges are the oldest mountain range in the world. A very spiritual part of the world.
Great walking tracks and breathtaking places around every corner.
Stunning national park with breath taking landscapes. Plenty of hikes to take through different vegetation and rock types. Lots of kangaroos (red, western grey and euro), wedgetails and emus. If you are lucky you could maybe spot a yellow footed roc wallaby or even a quoll. Such a beautiful park. Must see. Bunyeroo road is very scenic
I will remember this place my whole life. The place is great the day, but if you come the right night (when you can see the Milky Way core and the Moon is not here), you will get punched by a majestic star show.
Absolutely fantastic place if you love the rich history and the bush without having to do it rough. If you want to see some amazing scenery without needing a big 4x4 you can do it very easily. Definitely a great place to bring the family
Iconic scenery, local culture and history. There during a drought and still had water in places.
Great bush walking spot. Opened our eyes to different types of geography and weather! Worth an exploration
Peaceful and serene. Plenty of wildlife and scenery to observe and photograph. Great places to stay and relax. Without a doubt you cannot let this wonder escape you on your travels. Rawnsley Park and Wilpena Resort are just 2 of the great places to stay and relax.
Well worth the visit but camp facilities are poorly maintained. Toilets and showers poorly cleaned. For $39 a night you expect better.
Path signs and paths need upgrading. They appear to have been neglected. Cost of tours excessive for a national park where everything should be made affordable for Australians.
Wonderful place very dry and Dusty make sure you have plenty of water to drink it gets hot and the dust dries you out wasn't too many flies but it may have just been a good couple of days beautiful rock formations in the hills and the surrounding areas well worth seeing at least once in your life
Wipena Pound Resorts, Wipena Information centre, Rawnsley Park Station, Rawnsley Bluff, St Mary’s Peak.are some of the well known places around this area of the Flinders Ranges! Gorgeous landscape indeed!
While the yellow tail wallabies are commonly found here, very few yellow footed rock wallabies can be spotted. The endangered yellow footed rock wallabies can be seen more easily at the Arkooroola Village.
