After many recommendations, my husband and myself finally had the chance to visit Hugh Hamilton. It exceeded all of our (already high) expectations. The views, wines and atmosphere were all fantastic. A special shoutout to Will who was extremely knowledgable, passionate, friendly and engaging. Well beyond his years. Can't wait to come back to SA and visit again!

Rebecca our cellar door host whom we first met in 2017 makes the whole wine tasting a great experience. It was really nice to meet and speak with Mary as well.

We booked in to taste of senses package and was a unique sensory experience. The tasting wasn't exhaustive, but we'll done. The place can get quite busy, so booking is essential and Rebecca did a great job managing the tasting and explaining the different notes and finer details. Definitely worth a visit. Some great Reds too.

Is this not one of the best purpose built tasting rooms in the world? Where every tasting group looks over the vineyard. Great sales service and even though it was late in the day they didn't rush us and they were rewarded with extra sales and we rejoined as members! And the wines and the story behind each of them is exactly what differentiates them from the other wineries.

So easy to pop in for a quick tasting as we drove around McLaren Vale. Service was great with heaps of information about the vineyard and wines.

Definitely worth the $10 tasting and my favourites are the dark arts! Took my gorgeous mother in law who loved the wine so much she shipped many cases worth and I do mean many to NSW.
Staff are brilliant and knowledgeable as well as a beautiful location.
Suggestion only would be to have a cheese plate to purchase with the testing.

Great wines with a great story. One of the most beautiful cellar doors in Australia. Staff knowledge of the wine is first class. A great cab sauv. A must visit when in McLaren Vale.

I am a black sheep member of 5 yrs. Last Saturday, we came for a tasting and decided to do a decent order. I took three bottles home with me on the plane - pre packed by cellar door and the rest was to be shipped. Filled out the address and exact wines I wanted and paid accordingly. Got home and unpacked, she has given me the wrong wine and the wrong address on my order. Called through to advise and was hung up on twice. Finally got through and was advised that they will send me what I have paid for however, I'm to send back the 1 bottle of wine from QLD to ADL which they gave me by accident or I can purchase it over the phone. I am now inconvenienced by their mistake. I would think they would just give it too me considering it was their mistake and they have messed it up twice.if it was a $100 bottle - yes I understand but we are talking $20.00.

If all the staff are as dedicated, informative and blessed with such people skills as Kath, then Hamilton Wines will continue to excel. Thankyou Kath for your pleasantness and warmth.

I never knew it existed before but they make an amazing non alcoholic shiraz cordial that you cannot pass up a glass when you visit. Highly recommend Hugh Hamilton Wines.

Couple of young, up and coming wine connoisseurs looking to try out some renowned wines and the staff only seemed interested in serving the older generation.
Definitely portrayed himself as the black sheep with his service as well as his wines.
Richard across the road stole the show with the great hospitality and overall vibe.
