Hotel Victor

I went Friday night for our work Christmas party. It was awful. I had the SA king prawns on skewers for entree. They came out with shells on and all the flavour was on the shells consequently prawns were tasteless let alone the mess of peeling sticky prawns. Could it get any worse yes it could. I ordered surf n turf scotch fillet. Steak was fatty, no colour, flavour or seasoning.sauce was terrible no seasoning, bland with 3 very small prawns which had no flavour either. Table service was non existent, girl behind bar was rude. All I can say is thank God I did not pay for this meal. Will not be returning. All steaks on our table were the same terrible!

The meals were very average, and the menu contents needs to be overhauled. We couldn't even get Octopus and it's a seaside town, bit of a joke. Schnitzels (Beef) were tough as old boots. They don't give you the things that are stated on the menu in particular meals. The Pipis and linguine was not cooked nicely, as it was oily and tasteless. The garlic bread or so called flat bread was not even cooked properly and was tough and you couldn't even taste the garlic. The place itself is very clean and tidy as well as all the amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will go again, but i hope the chef can lift his game, if not we will go somewhere else.

Waited a long time for food to arrive. No one seemed to be around to ask questions. Slow service. Had the roast but was shocked to see that we had about 10 peas scattered over the top for what seemed like decoration. The Crown over the road is much better. Having said all that, the decor is superb at the Victor. Worth going to see. Very clever design indeed.

I had the Pipi Linguine and it exceeded expectations, which is hard these days. Serving was very generous with so many pipis (basically a cockle), very tasty and filling. Restaurant was a little noisy but it was very busy, despite this our food came out quite quickly considering.

Went to the pub with family. It's very beautiful inside and staff are friendly.
A bit deer menu but we all enjoyed the food. It'd be great if there was more vegan options.

We ate very well there.

The food here is simply, purely terrible. Ordered the almost $40 '250g' (maybe they round up?) rump steak with veggies. The rump came out way overcooked, with burnt black corners and very little flavor, very thin and dry. The mash potato was somehow both thin, watery and lumpy, with squares of flavorless hard spud mixed in. No butter or salt it appeared, no creaminess. Veggies - carrot was nice. The roast potatoes (yes, TWO kinds of spuds) were nice looking but solidly raw in the centre, like the sweet potato. The Pumpkin was somehow bordering on liquid. Oh! The mushroom sauce was a bit flavorsome, the small serving bowl was plonked right into the mash, what a concept. It used tinned slippery champignons though. The last time I saw tinned champignons was in 1983 when my Mum was in hospital and my stepdad cooked.

I was just shocked. Sure, it was a Monday night but do better.

The hotel has been impressively renovated since the last time we visited. Greeted by a very friendly employee who made us feel very welcome as he showed us to our table. Pizza was lovely (be aware it's a 12”, hence we needed a container to take some home). Plus the barramundi with biryani was beautiful. Very impressed - we will be back!

Rooms are clean and comfortable well set out staff present well and great to deal with service is prompt and professional food is great and well priced I would recommend this hotel to everyone

Waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for 6 tiny bits of squid and a very small bit of fish. Wasn't busy at all when we arrived. Less than 1/4 of tables were seated. Very unimpressed. DON'T EAT HERE.

Amazing food. The costumer service is 5 stars, they are very friendly and pay attention to detAil. Will definitely come back.

Awesome stay. Nice well maintained rooms, clean with good amenities. Love the little bathroom, very cute. Payed for 3 nights but due to family emergency had to leave 4hrs after checking in.
Thanks Hotel Victor for returning 1 night. Hopefully we can return soon.

The meal was ok but not the best. Not really a place to go out of your way for but if you're walking passed and something on the menu takes your fancy then don't be afraid to give it a go.

Great lunch with a bunch of mates, very good Chicken caesar salad, and we received seniors Discount Winner.

Walked in & the room smelled fresh & clean. Everything is spotless. Reception staff are lovely. The bathroom design is odd & unique, but in no way bad. The hotel's general decore is modern & inviting. Small things like good quality Arnott's biscuits & getting two keys for the room impress me a lot. As does the 12pm check out & free breakfast & drink coupons. Food was also delicious.

Great customer service from Kerry and the rooms were immaculate.
We took extra bedding as I’m always cold but didn’t need it.

Family getaway. Stayed in room#2 overlooked Granite Island. Private little balcony. King bed plus sofa bed. Roll away beds can be put in the room. No Block out blinds on Windows but that only interfered with our son having his nap. Plenty of natural light and fresh air. Dining options can be had in your room which is lovely. Just like Private dining with a view! Daily room service. Very clean and tidy. Lovely staff. Great meals. Walking distance to everything central. $15 breakfast vouchers available which are great value for money.

Hotel Victor is fantastic. Cosy comfort with wonderful views and amazing food. The service is terrific and the staff are all friendly.
