Hong Fat BBQ Restaurant reviews
52Spring Rolls were bland and oily. Soy chicken was cold. No chili oil or ginger sauce with the chicken
1/2 a Crispy duck was served cold and it was definitely not crispy. F##king disappointment duck would be a far better description.
Food quality is on and off. Sometimes I get a very good duck sometimes not. But when the food is on point it tastes amazing. The guy taking orders apparently keep getting it wrong. So always double check your orders before you pay.
Great food, good sized portions, and really good value. Lots of menu choices to explore although I'm a creature of habit and stick to 2 or 3 dishes that are always on point. Even though my mandarin is terrible, their English is usually very good so customer service has always been a good experience for me. They even take phone orders for pickup unless they're really busy (which is understandable considering how popular they are and how much EASI, Hungry Panda, UberEats & MenuLog business they do).
Great Asian restaurant, the price and taste is really good. You can find the authetic asian wok dishes here.
You know you come here for the price and food not for service, so 5 star for what it is! As authentic flavours as I can get back home.
We ordered roast pork, whole duck, whole soy chicken and fried rice for take away. Our friends liked them. We liked all of them especially if combined with their dipping sauce.
Just have a worst experience after dine-in, it was my fault that i doing something after pay the fees, i was careless and dint find out that i didnt recieve the change from them, after finish the meal i want to order one take away and i realise i didnt recueve the change fron the dine-in meal and i trying to ask the guy in the reception and he just don't care about it. Not even try to help!
When i ask them to check the camera they told me is just decoration
The waiter with the bald hair is very rude. The owner should not allow him to work there. Good food but bad service. Might no next time for me again.
Big bowl of chicken sweet corn soup. Used to come here every Friday after high school, place hasn't changed. Which is a good thing.
I miss this place alot. I haven't tried many dishes because my first order there was the special fried rice. At the time it was the best I had ever tasted. I used to order 2 large special fried rice and then I would spend all night at the internet gaming place next door. I have been out of the country for 8 years now, living in the US. I have been all over america, been to different China Town locations. Nothing even comes close to Hong Fat's special fried rice. I miss Australia, and I miss Hong Fat BBQ Restaurant.
A Lovely corner store with for a good variety meals selection with Chef Lai. This small casual Cafe has a lot to give. It maybe advertising for offering Cantonese Style food cuisine, but with the hidden culinary art skill of Chef Lai’s strong Malaysian Culinary art, I have my eyes on his Malaysian Fish Head Curry. It is delightful. The favour, the use of the spices and the heat of the spices and the spicy level of heat in the dish is perfectly combined together.
However, good Chef needs good supporters to make the place successful. The place needs more attention in their tidiness and cleanliness. Apart from that, thumb up to the food cuisine. Amazing Food!
Good tasty lunchtime dining, but tree to avoid peak dinner times. When we visited dinner, we got served raw clumps of pork mince in my mapo tofu over rice. Hope I don't get food poisoning!
Used to love this place, but went back twice and both times the food wouldn't pass a food safety inspection. Told the waiter that the Hainanese Chicken Rice was suspect, he nodded and out it in the bin. Case closed. Avoid at all costs.
My favourite combination of Char Kway Teow and BBQ Pork, definately worth trying good prices and decent sized portions.
Delicious favourite go to for great service and amazing food.shredded duck soup is a must try! Mwah beautiful! Bellissimo
Great little restaurant.the price is alwasy reasonablt since the first time I come to this restaurant 10 years ago.
The duck is excellent, great food overall. Be warned the servings are big:) Chef Lai is the best! But
the greatest thing about this place, is that I've seen them several times give free food to people in need and homeless people.
Very disappointing. Used to be good but not anymore. When you order salt and pepper squid you expect that to be the main thing in the container. Instead it was 60% gluggy rice, 20% onion, 10% chilli and then a few pieces of inedible rubber. I ordered lots of dishes and the rest were not significantly better.
Been coming to Hong fat for 15 odd years. Now my kids love it. Can't be faulted for what it is. Have something to eat inside and then get some takeaway bbq at weight prices to make some meals at home. The new chef is doing Malay dishes, nice addition.
