Chance finding on a SA road trip from Melbourne. Beef and green peppercorn pie was great, but the ciabatta loaf was outstanding. Assuming it's a sourdough, or very long ferment, because the lasting qualities and flavour are great. Four days later, and toasts up beautifully. Kudos to the baker!

It is amazing and the pastery is nice golden and crunchy. Dunno about the other stuff but would suggest this place for a drive by meal

I'm not sure how an avid cycling/ bakery tourist like me managed to miss this place for so long, but it appears I've been missing out! One of the best Cornish pasties I remember having (amazing pastry too) and the vanilla slice was top notch. I'll be back to try a pie and sausage roll to fill out the rest of my bingo card!

Bought a chunky steak pie yesterday and the meat was so dry I’ve actually eaten beef jerky that’s more tender than this pie this was so dry and nearly impossible to eat but I was so hungry I finished it,
The pepper steak pie I bought was a bit better but sadly today I’ve got diarrhoea and stomach cramps all day long

One of the best bakeries in SA! Berry/custard danish was superb as were both pies (ate them too quickly to get a pic). The huge ciabatta tasted like fresh home made bread (obviously.but there's something special about it) and our donut, kitchener and coffee were all tasty. Busy, but the line moves quickly. Highly recommend!

The pie need to be more crunchy as too soggy
And price to be review as if you have a family with children you can stop only once so expensive

I'm a regular customer who has spent hundreds at the bakery, my wife and I are usually at least twice a week. The last few times including this morning are breakfast was very overcooked and not worth the $25 especially when there has been a price increase and quality decrease. I got two kranskys one croissant and one mince pie. All very over cooked and dry. I don't mine paying the extra for bakery these days. But not when the quality has been so low these days. Kransky have gotten smaller and more expensive.

Does this place have the BEST pies 'n' pasties? Sure does!
But keep it quiet, or there'll be none left next time we pop down.

Great place, on the weekends you always find this place with a line can't be helped cause everyone wants what they are selling which should tell you enough.

A must stop in Aldinga, we love our morning coffee whilst visiting and the cakes and pies are incredible too!

I have purchased many family pies (all flavours), kitchener buns, vanilla slices, donuts and coffee. Also love the small tuna pies. Friendly staff and bonus systems for purchases. Great bakery

I purchased quite a few cakes Sunday 10 July to take to a nursing home for a treat.
Choc donuts and vanilla slices were so stale we couldn't eat them.
Obviously this bakery customs to non locals, only travel through tourists,
BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED
and angry that I spent $33 on stale old stock

Great bakery, we have tried quite a few different items across their range, all very delicious.
Love their pies, nice and chunky, tender meat.

The coffee was great the only disappoinment was that our order got lost and we had to ask for our coffees.this otherwise would have been a 5 star review.

If you're looking for a good quality bakery, this is a great spot. The minute I saw the chocolate donut I knew I needed it in my life, and it was perfection at every bite. My hubby very much enjoyed his tuna pie and brownie too. The bakery is on a very cute road, with contemporary country decor in a cutesy cottage style. It's light, bright, and uplifting. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

I keep having issues with incorrect coffee orders. Requesting iced instead of hot.

Attended with the kids, asked for a ham cheese corossiant, however they don't do ham cheese. They only provide heated corossiants so we had to go somewhere else.

The best bakery! All the food is baked on site and is awesome. Coffee is amazing, staff are great!

Great quality pies, pasties and assorted cakes and other goodies. Ready to eat filled rolls made on site not mass produced elsewhere. Fresh coffee made to order all at reasonable prices and served by fantastic staff.

Being in the heart of Aldinga (or Old-Dingy as i would say), this local bakery is surely not one to miss. From the fantastic service, to absolutely delicious food, Home Grain Bakery is not one to disappoint.

I have not been able to find a Chilli Kransky anywhere else that could even remotely stand close to the ones they have here, it is an amazing balance with just that right amount of heat. Their Vanilla slices are also not to miss as they use the freshest, most real custard in it and it tastes incredible.

The customer service is incredible and will surely leave you with a smile. This bakery makes you feel at home and warm and will guarantee to brighten your day. Massive thanks and gratitude for all who work there, you have made your bakery PROUD.

The large coffee is a medium everywhere else but charged at large price.no longer do the XL.disappointed
