Goodlife Health Clubs

I hate goodlife so goddam much and I couldn't not recommend them more. I never went once and cancelled after a week of having a FLEXIBLE membership.its been 1 month and a half and they are still charging me. I have called countless times asking them stop charging me and even after they say they've suspended my account from being charged, not even a week and a half later I get charged again. I'm a high school student so I already don't make much money but twice now they've put my debit card in the negatives. Please listen to me and don't sign up, they are only after your money and nothing else.

If you work or live in the City, plenty of classes to choose from, especially in your lunch break. Perfect time to take that break from work. Early morning may be your thing, can smash out a workout before going to work. Huge gym packed with lots to do.

The weights are always strewn about, but the facility is nice enough. The old bank aspect is great.

This Goodlife venue is the most classy I’ve seen so far. It’s located on CBD’s heart, very handy for a walk or public transport. Nice equipment. But I must say that my higher admiration is for the incredible historic building where it’s placed. A piece of architectural work, where you find comfortable and spacious areas, high ceilings, luminous, gorgeous! Women facilities are clean and with lots of showers and toilets. Friendly and helpful staff.

The coaches are very helpful and enthusiastic. I really like the Studio1 room where I'm free to perform my passion.

Do not come to this Club. They called me every day to ask for renew contract and send me the emails offer the free time for the renew. Then they called me so many many time to ask for renew and when I confirm the time contract expire they again CHEATED me by saying that is error email send by the staff. Dave or David - Manager of the club told me on phone he did not know who’s send my the error information OMG they sent me email more than 3 times with the DAYS expired to keep ask me renew for my contract renew, offer me the free time on new contract (when I’m still need to pay for my old contract.) NOt make any sense like they tried to rip off customer money.

When you love fitness you love to workout anywhere you can. The classes are good and the instructors make you work hard in the less amount of time!

I called in Oct 2020 to cancel my membership and was advised that the payment would stop when the membership contact finished in Nov 2020. They would automatically draw the money out of my account only if I renew the contract. If I don't renew the contract the payment would stop after Nov 2020. Now Feb 2021, I check my bank transactions and the payments still have been drawn every month out of my bank till today Feb 2021. When I called, the payment company which is the third party does not have anything to do nor aware of that payment-stop rule above. They only stop if there is a Cancellation notification sent from Goodlife to them. So be aware of this scam-like.
UPDATE: today I received an email from Goodlife to confirm my cancellation and would refund 3 months of membership they have over-withdrawn and would take 10 or 15 days to process. Hopefully I will receive my refund.

Quite worry about their WHS.
The floor of the group class room is very slippery，cant stand stably when doing wide squats and lunges.
Staff are very nice.

Large club with good bathroom facilities in an old bank building. Most of the staff are generally friendly. Good class timetable but weights room can be fairly overcrowded weekdays after 5pm. Carpets could definitely be replaced during next reno.

Goodlife uses a third party to debit your account for membership fees. This is so when members are frequently erroneously charged Goodlife staff defer you to this third party. Unsurprisingly this party is difficult to contact. At times it can seem impossible to legitimately cancel your membership. Two of my kids currently have their student memberships suspended and Goodlife continues to debit money. Once was for personal training sessions they could not possibly use while their memberships were suspended. Apart from the fiscal dishonesty Goodlife runs its equipment into the ground. I understand you get what you pay for so the facilities are rubbish. I guess the dishonesty is because they’re owned by a bank. Anytime Fitness is much better. Even the playground at the local council park is better value for money because it’s free.

They have hidden charges. They charge 10$ extra every quarter.when I asked them about the charges they said it is for free trainer session. They didn't mention about this charge while signing up. I had only 1 trainer session of 15 minutes in last 3 months. I asked trainer to show me how to use equipment and he suggested me to learn from YouTube.

I really like the range of equipment at the gym which is its best feature and the reason I joined and continue to stay. However the culture is shocking. Rarely are plates racked or towels used and this includes the PTs.

Wasn’t allowed to use the 10 day free pass because I wanted to use the gym before going away but it’s a free pass?

They ripped me off and I never returned.told the consultant I didn't want to be locked in, and he said that was fine.come to end of membership the manager tells me, that wasn't the contract I signed up for and that I had to continue paying via automatic payments. Closed that bank account.

It’s a great facility however, the male toilets needs a cleaner.
Old machines, needs a good maintainer.
Could be better if managed better.

Pretty awesome gym.
Really cool how there’s so many levels and different rooms with large windows to see what’s going on outside.

Good equipments, but the WORST attitude that I have NEVER seen before! 6 weeks before told me the card will automatically be stopped, I even signed the paper work. Today somebody told me that he got no idea about what happened and even let me WALK AWAY for THREE times! So terrible experience. Stop the fake laugh on the face please. I’m so happy to cancel the card from here, even I have been asked to pay $55 extra. One of the staffs in reception maybe not happy to do this job that face to the customers. Hope you can get better, improve more about how to face to customers.

Nice gym and equipment, good for hard days midwifing, however, commissions based as some members fees differ.
