Golden Gate Chinese Takeaway

We have ordered home delivery many times over the last couple of years and the food was always really good. However our last order was not. The satay sticks were meagre and the peanut sauce watery. The special fried rice lacked flavour and the mains had a lot of cabbage and scant amounts of other veges and meat. We were very disappointed. We noted today that the shop is under new management. I guess that explains the drop in quality.

Yummy flavours, quick service, but left me super dehydrated over night. Some Chinese places do this, others don't. MSG?

Good food, they also do uber and delivery service

Restaurant accepted order for delivery to Holden Hill- then called me back 5 mins later and said they don’t deliver to my area and they don’t have enough staff! But we’ve had previous deliveries! Prior to that said I can’t pay over the phone because they have an eftpos machine with the driver, but there has to be one in the shop? Our order was for $75 so we were told our only option was pick up, so we took our business elsewhere. Overall, terrible customer service and will not be returning.

Ordered sweet and sour pork and special fried rice, both were good. My order was delivered and I was happily surprised that the sweet and sour pork's batter was still crunchy. First time ordering, will try it again. Delivery time was long but they may have just been busy that night.

Waited an hour for one dish.turns out I had been looking at my order sitting on the bench for more than 15 mins. When i complained the dish was now "warm". They offered to reheat it for me.

It used to be ok and was actually our regular for a while, but they've gone STEEPLY downhill recently. I'm wondering if there been a change of management or chef. There are definitely different counter staff there now.

First and last time tonight! Meal was so late, honey chicken for the kids with no honey grrr and the rest of our order was not good

Lovely staff, delicious food and a wide variety of different meals. Good combo options and all at great prices! Love my local Chinese food!

Worst lemon chicken I have ever had. Batter was not cooked properly and too thick. It tasted weird. I will never go back.

Always the tastiest Chinese, I'm pretty sure that while they don't advertise crispy beef on the menulog site, I've ordered it over the phone, and was one of the best I'd ever had! Delicious Banh Mi for lunch too!

Delivery was really quick, food was still warm and crunchy and it all tastes great. Best chinese meal I've had for years.

We ordered the King Sweet Chilli Prawns and paid $8 extra to get a large serve and my family (dad's birthday) LOVED it! We rang the shop to make a special request or two and were so happy that the order was on time and nice and hot, when other restaurants were closed today, Easter Monday. Thanks guys

We were really unhappy with the food, we ordered over $50 worth, rang in the first half hour of ordering and eating. (hardly 2 bites of each order) to explain that we were happy it was not fresh and tasted awful.we were happy to return the food that was hardly eaten for a refund.
The staff continued to tell us that they can't do that and next time when we return they will give us 20 percent off our next order, after me telling them we will not return as we were unhappy with the order and also the reply and service.
We will never return to that buisness again.very disappointing.
