Golden Gate Chinese Takeaway

I ordered creamy pepper chicken worth $15 and I got one and half inch sizes chicken 5-6 pieces. And plenty and plenty of onion and carrots and celery. It was literally creamy pepper onion rather than chicken. Food was okay but it was not worth the price and when I called him and said he said “you come and I will put some more chicken”.

Never having anything from here and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

I told you on the phone that I can come to your place with that same curry not touched and you see what I have got. I know how much a 225g chicken would look like. It wasn’t 225g and I can guarantee that. It was 80% Onion and carrots and 20% chicken.

This is not about me getting more chicken. It’s about you not providing the food that worth the price. I have had this dish from many places and I know how it is and apparently I only had this issue with your restaurant. Even if it’s 225g or even 100g provide the food that worth that price. That’s why I even rejected your offer when you said you can add more chicken if I come again to your store.

Generous portion servings. Best dish is simply special fried rice so start and stop there.

Food quality was quite good. There are better but for the price I can't complain. Needs to work on their website though as I put an order through Menulog and it got cancelled. Then tried their website and there were no rice dishes on there so I rang them and they explained site not working to put through menulog again. Meant dinner which was originally ordered at 3: 40 to be the first off the bat didn't get delivered til nearly 7pm. Willing to forgive for another try.

Crispy beef with plum sauce, was quite literally so crispy and dry. Tastes like gravel and sauce was horrible, only salvageable thing was the fortune cookies. First and last time, do not recommend.

They are good and the size of portion is a nice size. Parking spaces are limited so select the timing right to get a spot.

Service is fast and the restaurant is spacious. Their fried rice is written order (no carts). Overall great restaurant and will visit again.

I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging of the food, and the taste is amazing. Will certainly order again from Golden Gate Chinese Takeaway.

We recently moved to Hope Valleu and finally had the chance to try this Golden Gate Chinese Takeaway! Above our expectations, starter of pan fried dumplings delish and seeet and sour chicken was the best we have tasted in ages! Thank you for amazing service and delish food. Small and intermete.

We ordered a chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken and fried rice - it was all really tasty, not greasy, seemed healthier than our usual takeaways and came well packed in ice packs! I would definitely order again and can recommend Golden Gate Chinese Takeaway, in fact have done already to my friends.

The food here isn't leading edge, it's just brilliantly cooked, lovely Chinese food - the service is charming as is the small front of house dining room - and it's fantastic value too - can't recommend highly enough - we will definitely be ordering occasionally during Tier 3.

Even my partner commented how nice it was and he does not usually enjoy Chinese from the local takeaways.

Love this place, Bib menu and everything is exceptionally tasty and such good value. It also helps that you can take your own wine.

Impressive as usual. Ordered my third box, and the quality was that which I've come to expect from Yumshi. Every meal tasted fresh, delicious, and was vegan friendly! I shall be ordering again soon for sure

Amazing food! So much flavour! Had 2 batches now, will definitely make this a monthly thing. The egg fried rice is so light, fluffy and flavoursome, you will never order a take-out again after having this food, I simply can't praise it enough! Well done guys.

Excellent selection of great quality food, book early as the owner strictly limits capacity to maintain the quality Of the food.

Efficient delivery & we all enjoyed each of our individual tasty dishes. Easy to prepare & equally easy to dispose of all the recyclable packaging.
