Simply the best. So fresh and tasty. Absolutely nothing not to like. Just amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Perfect Cooker and his wonderful chef partner provided us, as always, with exquisite and great value food. My favourite always the Sichuan chicken and the chilli fried calamari.

Perfect place to visit for homemade fresh and vibrant Chinese food. Family run business at its finest, you won’t be disappointed.

All the dishes were delicious and there was enough for two days for two of us.still a bit left now in the freezer. Very reasonable price, no dearer than a takeaway from our local Chinese.

The meal was disappointing. My braised steak was grissly and tough. The FRIED rice was gluggy and tasteless. Won’t be ordering again.

Food was horrible. Stuffed up my order. Pork was not cooked properly. Sweet chilli chicken had a think cream sauce. Do not recommend at all. What a waste of money.

The best Chinese takeaway in the Hope Valley area. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Friendly service, beautiful tasty food.

Ordered banquet no 1 and 2 x entree serves of chicken satay sticks. Entree sticks were overcooked and sauce had hardened on chicken. All other banquet meals were absolutely terrible. Honey chicken & pork spare ribs came in a paper bag therefore just warm when served immediately. Meat was also chewy. Prices have gone up AGAIN and quality of meals gone down since new management. Won't be going back

Always friendly service and generous servings. They also have a large choice of different styles of food to keep you coming back to try the next dish.

We ordered kway teow and it was one of the best we've ever had. Our kids will only eat honey chicken from this restaurant too, as the chicken is not battered and deep fried.

Used to be a good amount of tasty food for a reasonable price but food quantity has been reduced now and prices increased. Pleasant staff that smile.

While the food is pricy and the quality has fallen so far. I just had to give up at near 5pm when they said we are closed. We open at 4.430 to be correct. But why Answer the phone an have an argument about being closed. I wanted to ask if he had a clock. Phone? Damn. A sundial. Did not think being right was worth the argument

Must be new management, Ordered special fried rice. They used saffron which make it yellow colour, and was tasteless. Mongolian steak, The meat had a smell, so chewy and disgusting. King prawns and mixed vegetables also tasteless. We could not eat the food so we threw it away. I am sorry but unfortunately we had a bad experience and you have lost a customer

I ordered from Golden Gate for the 1st time last night. I've been craving Crispy Beef. Their Crispy Beef is the best I've been able find. It was very good.

The worst Szechuan Beef I've ever had. Zero sauce, zero flavour, zero stars if there was an option.

Golden Gate takeaway has been very good over the last decade. Until now. ‘Salt & Pepper Squid’ was three quarters rock hard, stale, salty batter, with small slivers of over cooked squid. Served in container with no lid. Must be new management. I won’t be going back.

My friend and I gave it a try and didn't expect much, but the foods are actually pretty good, price is very reasonable, definitely go back to try diffrent dishes again in the near future

Always coming here for lunch. Their crispy pork is always very delicious. The owners are all nice people.

Wouldn't bother ordering take away. It comes minus part of your order. Tell you on the phone 40 minutes and it turns up 1hr and 5 minutes later warm! Not good enough at all.
