Golden Boy

I have been coming to Golden Boy over the last few years, it honestly hits the spot every time. The food is absolutely delicious with so much aromatic and flavours from Thai food you had but with a modern twist. We had the Tuk Tuk menu set and as picture below every single dish was absolutely amazing, we also had pad Thai, wagyu beef curry and dessert (all three not pictured). Honestly by the end of the night we were so full as the portions were a good size. I really recommend this place.

Great location and great value for money with knowledgeable staff. Worth a try on your trip to adelaide. Wish we could do half stars because we would rate 4.5. Only downfall was a lot of it was quite spicy and the way you order is that they choose for you. I wish they asked spice preference beforehand.

My partner and I ate here for our anniversary a while ago and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! We enjoyed the tuk tuk menu and were surprised at how much food it came with. Would definitely recommend it for any special occasions!

Edith and Jade provided lovely service bringing our food and drinks, and made having a birthday there easy and e joyful. The food was very filling and tasted amazing, will definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Service is phenomenal, food is off its tits… The Tuk Tuk menu is the best, takes all of the thinking out of what do I need to order, the chefs got this!

Does not disapoint!

Exceptional service from all the staff and chefs. The food was sensational with ridiculous flavour and variety. We did the feed me menu with fish and meat and spice. The level of spice was pretty full on (our own fault as we did not expect it to be as spicy). Really enjoyed the food and will be back soon.

Been to Golden Boy multiple occasions, always consistently good food, a wide selection of great vegan, vegetarian and seafood/meat dishes, always happy to visit.

Delicious food, love the soft shell crab, poached salmon and crispy eggplant dish. The feed me menu was great. Cocktails are great.

If you want a place to try Authentic Thai place… this is the best place to go! Amazing food (literally everything) plus service!

Excellent service, staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Food was fast out of the kitchen, fresh and delicious! We had the Tuk-Tuk experience and our waiter selected meals that suited our dietary requirements. The decor is lovely and we both really enjoyed the music and ambience.

This really is a fantastic place for Thai food, but points off for surly and inexperienced service from our waiter.

We used to visit the Botanic to unwind for an hour or so after Uni on a Friday night. We're not drunks, but enjoyed the range of drinks plus the yummy, approachable bar menu. One day we came to the door to order our usual and were told flatly (VERY rudely) by door staff to move on. No explanation, just looked us up and down like we were somehow trying to scam them, said no food and you can't come in here. Nearly ruined our evening after a hard day. Now that we're no longer a pair of broke students we can eat wherever we want, and I promise you we will never again eat here. Just know that those two uni kids you unfairly profiled and disrespected are now successful adults who warn all their friends away from your restaurant too. Now I am possibly being unfair, but that experience has stuck in my mind and I won't ever forget how your staff made us feel that night.

Teach your staff some manners!

You'll find us at NOLA where the food is great, the service is fast, the staff are chill (even when it's busy) and we have never once been turned away.

Great downstairs bar to have pre-dinner drinks. Great staff and amazing food. I really can't fault this place and am looking forward to a 3rd visit!

Can't fault this dining experience! From the service to the food, everything was gold class. We had such a friendly waiter who was super friendly, ensuring that our party was full (and I mean really full) right until the end. The feed me menu is definitely fantastic value. Each dish is amazing and bursting with flavour. One of the best restaurants in Adelaide!

What a fantastic experience.you walk in and already feel like it's gonna be a good night. The atmosphere with all the cool art on the walls and they give you chops sticks and customise your dinner for you.it's so cool! Will be very keen to come back and see what else they have to offer.
