Gaucho's Argentinian Restaurant reviews
73 Wow, the food was awesome, we asked the waitress to just select a range of mains for a group of 6 to share and haven't had a better dining experience and such a meat fest for a long time. Great wine and great service.
As a visitor from Sydney, we were told by many locals how good this place was and they weren't wrong
Beautiful food! Best steak in Adelaide, cooked perfectly and our waiter ensured we were happy with the amount it was cooked. Exceptional service, very attentive and friendly staff. Try the blue cheese sauce, it's incredible. Great selection of drinks, especially red wines. The dessert was also very well presented and delicious. Amazing restaurant, you get what you pay for.
Best staff, best food, absolutely a must go. Went there last night, have never had better, everything cooked to perfection, staff trained to perfection. Already planning next visit. Thanks Joe, you really know what you're doing.
Gaucho’s is an Adelaide institution for Argentinian grill that has been around for decades. Has always been a great go-to for good steak. I’ve dined here three times this year and it never disappoints. The staff are very attentive and the food comes out promptly. Apart from the steaks which are all great, I really enjoy their chips, the kilpatrick oysters and the roasted broccoli. The chimichurri sauce goes so well with the steaks too!
One of the best steak houses in Adelaide for sure. Simple, hearty, good quality food and wine beautifully done. Variety of drinks and nice menu. We ordered chorizo for the starter and wagyu new York strip with roasted sweet potato and sour cream as the side. The house red wine Shiraz was absolutely the best pair for the food. The items were not quite authentic Argentinian but good quality though. The cook on the steak was just perfect (rare). Great service and very kind and professional staff. A mist visit place for steak lovers. We will visit this place soon.
Had the scotch fillet steak with blue cheese sauce, the fried broccoli, and a bottle of wine. All of it was delicious! We have been back many times.
The vegetables were dry and overcooked, the steak was good, sauces reasonable. All in all - a bit disappointing for the prices they charge.
Terrible rude staff, over priced poor quality sad considering it was a fav will not waste time or money again
I don’t go for the steaks. I just go to smash the smaller dishes. Every seafood dish is great. Squid. Nom nom. Oysters. Insane. Baked cheese? Life is good again. Love this place.
I literally had the best steak ever in this place! Bear in mind their steaks are expensive, mine was $71, but it was VERY GOOD. Also we had fried broccoli, was interesting and tasty, however in my personal opinion a bit oily.
If you have been to Rockpool and liked it.you will LOVE Gaucho's.
Thank you Antonia for your wonderful service and to the Chef's for our amazing meals! You folks are rocking it!
See you next time we come to Adelaide!
The steaks are amazing! Cooked perfectly. Nice selection of wines. Always a busy spot but able to get a table for two on a Saturday night despite not having a booking. Service is good. And how good is that home made sauce they have on every table? !
Good quality food but IMO horribly overpriced. At $50 for 200g steak I would have expected sauce and chips included but had to pay extra for these.
Great service and nice atmosphere. However the food was underwhelming. I'm from Texas and have been to Argentina and no stranger to good steak. While it was a good cut of meat it was under seasoned. The short ribs were also under seasoned and extremely fatty. I love good marbeling but this was 25% fat. While it was a good meal, in my opinion overall not a good value.
I had the pork, taste yummy! A little pricey, once in a while is ok. Menu title doesnt mean anything, have to read the ingredients to know what it is
The hubby and I have been dining at Gaucho's each year for our wedding anniversary for about five years. The steak is to die for, always cooked to perfection. The wine menu has something for everyone and the service is top notch!
The service of this place was definitely top notch. I loved how every chef came out and explained their dishes. The flavours were definitely there, although some misses with a few courses. The highlight of the night was the fried broccoli. Never have I imagined of eating broccoli like that.what an experience!
Underwhelming. I don't care what anyone says, but when you pay $54 for a steak I expect to be blown away.
The service was excellent though, as were the "chips", but i won't be going there again.
Over booked and didn't honor our online reservation. Was very rude about it. Wouldn't recommend at all.
If you are a group and you're looking for a bill for each for tax purpose then it's not possible. Only 1 bill for 1 long serving table. You can split the payment when you are in the counter. Though its expensive but they have many great delicious food that you will love.
