As a Melbourne person we are spoilt for amazing restaurant experiences. Gaucho's is that level of a restaurant. Absolutely amazing steak and meat choices, you can taste the quality of the produce the care they go to prepare the dishes and cooked perfectly to request.
If you are visiting Adelaide, do not miss this amazing restaurant, an absolute standout.

The taste was amazing! They were busy but we felt taken care of. Fine dining with a smile. We where very happy with our steaks and highly recommend the broccoli. We love coming here and can't wait to return again.

Amazing food and the service was above and beyond! Look forward to going back next time I'm in town.

Don't bother, over priced and over cooked steak. Much better Argentinian elsewhere. Service mediocre. Best thing was the chorizo entre, the rest below average.

Food average and very expensive, very rude and unfriendly staff if you finish your meal, don’t expect to seat there and chat they’ll ask you if you want your blll

Sides were very well, but the scotch fillet was grisly. Wait staff did not appear very interested and was difficult to get their attention.

I understand that stake house is always expensive. However in my opinion, the stake here is quite average for its price, not impressed me.

Excellent service with delicious food. The wait time was a bit longer than usual due to high number of customers.

Very good restaurant but is located in a busy area of the city and there is no parking. Is located across the central market so you could park in there and cross the street.
Parking on the street is hard to find and some paid parking is not really close.just be aware.
Steak cost around 60 dollars average with no side dish.side dishes are another 15 dollars average. Sauce is on the side too.
Ask for the green chimichuri that is the real one that they have in Argentina made with fresh herbs.
Service was not very good.the little Asian girl didn't make one effort to accommodate our needs.and responded very unapologetic.
No sharing bills.so bring cash or figure out with your friends or family after.otherwise go by yourself!
The food is really good but I think the price and the place don't follow. The place is dark with hard chairs and old tables.
I think they should have a parking deal close by and the inside needs to be updated.

Would have to be in the conversation for the best steak in Adelaide. Oysters Diablo are incredible.

Went last night 5 star food and 5 star service, but the noise level was unbelievable, for this reason I won’t go back, we had to yell to hear each other. To give you an idea the noise was akin to sitting next to a portable generator. I really loved the food and the waiters were excellent but for $100 a head I want the atmosphere as well.

Always a good place to go for food. I had the New York striploin which was cooked perfectly. The mushrooms sidedish was excellent, but the broccoli sidedish was a little too charred in our opinion - the char overrode any other flavour it had. Service was prompt and friendly, will definitely revisit.

A slice of South America, expect a bustling and vibrant feeling. Lots of meat dishes and heart robust flavours. A good choice to get that meat fix and an experience of Argentina.

Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything including sides, sauces and service was top quality. Could not recommend this place enough

Sweaty tongs. The guy on the grill (short dreads) repeatedly kept the metal tongs right up in his armpit. The arms on his tshirt weren’t that long. And a grill is a pretty sweaty place. I’m pretty disgusted thinking about how he contaminated my meal.

Manager/owner’s response - they’re long tongs, he’s got a big bucket and the grill is like 650 degrees.

I’m not sure if I like to eat my stranger sweat room temperature, cooked or y’know - tell him to stop.

Going to puke up a rather expensive steak now….

The food is not bad but not worth the price. For that money I've had much better. Still okay tho to try it out when you visit Adelaide but there is much better out there for that cost.

Excellent food and drinks. The calamari was delicious and a very good size. The fillet steak was spot on. We would definitely come back.

Hmmm, what to say? Disappointed is the main feeling. After being advised of the excellent quality of the Wagyu steak, I was left wondering if I'd been given standard rump instead, which is not so bad in general, but not at $128 for 300g. The steak did not reach any expectation and it was only the chips and salad that made the meal half decent. The original waitress was great, but the final waitress needs to learn how to clear a table at the very least. The atmosphere was more a cafe than a restaurant, very noisy with crowded tables and the whole dining experience was rather disappointing. If this is supposed to be quality Wagyu then I'll stick to regular steak in future.

I can say the stuff were fantastic, the food a the start was very nice and wine was a good choice, but my steak that I was looking forward to was very average, I have had better on my BBQ.

Went expecting big things.and most of the credit goes to prompt courteous friendly staff. I started with half dozen oysters del diablo which were very tasty, if somewhat undersized for the price. Then my wife and I had the large $78 650g rib eye each.both were cooked well and flavoursome, although the small portion of potato dauphinoise was underwhelming and the side dish of broccoli we ordered was initially tasty, but the deep frying flavour and crispiness was a little overbearing in the end.
