Great welcome from friendly staff. Plenty of choice on what they labelled a limited menu. All meals delivered on their promise. Service prompt and efficient. Highly recommended.

Delicious pub meal of crumbed fish with chips and a lovely crisp fresh salad. Friendly and professional staff. Well laid out and relaxed. Very clean. Booked in advance. Suggest you do too for the next little while tables are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions for the next little while. Under New Management.

Wonderful team at the Excelsior, they made my birthday experience very special. I was made to feel so welcome and my guests had a wonderful time. The food was so good, the prawn linguine and the Thai chicken curry tasted supremo, the burgers and the schnitzels and fish were well recieved and the presentation of all the meals were sublime. The new menu is a cracker, get down there and try it out.

First dining out for months. Excelsior is always a favourite place. Good meals, family owned pub.

Been visiting this place for a while now And it’s had nothing but consistently delicious well-made and presented meals at ridiculously cheap pricing.
I thought it was about time I do a review for them.

I like the Excelsior Hotel because it is a local hotel with a local feel, the staff are always welcoming & polite! I also like the layout of the premises.

Fortnightly dinner w 5 friends chosen from Ent book. All enjoyed chosen meals, good service. Wld recommend, as a group we have eaten here a few times

Food was amazing. Had the lamb shanks and the meat fell off the bone. Great sauce, service and salad bar. Will be going back
