Excelsior Hotel

We were looked after very kindly by the staff of The Excelsior. We were there after the church service for the passing of a relative. Everyone there was kind and very accommodating! Thankyou Excelsior staff.

This was once my local, working class and full of The Ghost Who Walks memorabilia (the Phantom).
Now it looks like, sounds like, acts like a part of some franchise.
I give it 2 stars because they gave me a small biscuit with my $8 coffee

Well, the Excelsior Hotel was my best choice I made to visit and having delicious meal with my friends.
Special thanks to the kitchen chef for perfect rack lamb cutlets.with pistachios, Wow! I can say. I do feel guilty because I left my plate empty.all gone! The place was clean and tidy, service quick and very nice.
I think that is best adverts for EXCELSIOR HOTEL and I am going to back soon there and reccomend to my friends.

We had the Chicken Parmi and Beef Boscaiola with a side of veges and cream sauce. 4 stars for service and Boscaiola topping, 3 stars for the parmi (the batter separated from the meat itself a lot and the fries could be crispier) and 3.5 stars for the sides. Will return during the weekday when their parmi specials are on.

I didnt hate it but i ordered the chickenbreast with smashed potatos and avocado in a cream sauce, well the chicken was boiled and the potato well, tiny pieces of skin, i would have to say it was half price, but want be going back so disappointed

Great layout & great steaks cooked spot on to your liking or if your on a budget then can't argue with the $20 roast lamb/turkey with desert served up by exceptional staff who obviously enjoy working for the Excelsior. Everytime we walk through the front bar to the dining area the barman always gives us a smile & G'day & again when leaving. It's the little things like this that are duley noted. I've been 4 times in the last 6 weeks with friends from Mt Gambier who only wanted to go back to this pub. A solid 5 stars.

Good menu, seafood platter for one and Verona salad was great, cold beer and wine. Enjoyed our lunch.

One of the most coziest places to have drinks with friends n family members. I loved the ambience of this place. Very quite n comfortable place. Enjoy a drink or two @ this Hotel n make the best memories forever

We had Fathers day lunch here, the service and food were fantastic, a great way to spend fathers day.

Nice place to eat at. Food was real lovely. Service and staff were excellent. Will definitely eat there again.

Great friendly staff that are always ready to help you with a cold drink and delicious food, their oysters Kilpatrick are some of the best I've tasted, definitely worth popping into

Came in for a classic pub feed and managed to sneak into Steak night. My missus and I both enjoyed them with a drink ; and I gotta be honest.

We went to the Excelsior Hotel Sunday night for a 21st Birthday The food was fantastic and the staff are so nice and friendly A really great place Will definitely go there again Judy

Got to see the pub atmosphere on Melbourne Cup day. Pretty happening. Looks like a great place to hang out in game days. Pub menu looked great though I didn't try the food.

Went there a couple weeks ago. The burgers were good and Bono served us well with a smile. The pool room could be a bit bigger tho.

Came with my partner last week for the first time. The service was absolutely impeccable! And the food oh MYYY the size of our schnitzel meals was HUGE there was no way I could get through it but it was delicious. We will be returning for sure! Thanks Excelsior for a wonderful evening!

Only went to the dining room, meal was good and staff friendly and professional. Overall a nice place for a meal

I went there with my family for my 70th birthday dinner. I had seafood platter which was delicious. I will go back to the Excelsior Hotel.

Tried it once, and became regular customers. Now I have dined here about 40 times. The food and bar service is spot on every time. I highly recommend the chicken schnitzel it's always crunchy and perfectly cooked. I'm moving 35 minutes from this place and I will travel to get here.
