Decent pub food with a better menu then surrounding pubs

Staff are chatty and friendly, the bar is still like a local pub which I like great to meet local trades over a drink always been very friendly, clean and food is good great place to meet people as there nit always on there phones they actually talk to each other, well in my experience there

Fresh, fast and reasonably priced food. Best schnitzel I've had in a while, very friendly service.
Also tried the lunch steak and it was amazing quality and great value!

Why do new staff rule the roost. After tonight not going back. They have a rewards program, but you can't use it. Spend $200 to $300 a week. They don't want our money!
Don't buy the garlic bread, dry toast with no flavour.

This is our local pub and price/quality is pretty good - it was excellent and I would have given 5 stars but since covid hit, I think they lost some good staff and chefs.so there was a noticeable drop in the quality of food. It is a bit hit and miss in regards to food but the staff are amazing and friendly!

Great value for money food and friendly staff - always have a great experience here and tasty food.

First time experience, actually a lot better than we expected. Went on the steak night so $10 off each steak which were cooked perfectly. Reasonably priced drinks with prices listed for the tap beers so a plus there. Will visit again for sure.

I went to the Excelsior with two friends.the service is great. And you will not be disappointed by the food.

Wife and myself haven't been there for a couple of years, some new faces came along with good old freindly service also enjoy a good lunch

Great meals - family member had the fisherman basket for two, looked yummy - book a table with friends or family & try there menu. Was a great night.

Good service food was average. I eat out a lot though so in saying that my rating is just under pretty good to excellent.

Our group of 6 people enjoyed the night's dining Good food relaxed no nonsense venue thanksl would recommend

They're all tops. From vodka/Adidas patron (i bring in empty glasses etc) cos u guys r so polite n nothing is ever a bother.
Great to see old school service is still around n when they ask how u are, they care about the response.and that's rare.

All ways at good place to go staff are wonderful always clean and friendly atmosphere even if I moved over other side of town I would still make an effort to pop into this pub

I gave the Excelsior 4stars because the service was great and the meal was excellent it was my first lunch visit there I was with a group and they all thought the same as myself.

Great pub good food plenty of areas to use front bar has dart board, keno, tab and pool table on seperate room, with huge dining lounge area/ bet garden.
Wide range of beers and food very reasonable price

Went for lunch with my parents. They had a great range of foods to choose from and had great lunch deals was either $12 or $15 lunches. I got a pasta dish, it was tasty and I had leftovers due to the large portion sizing. Would visit again:)

Group birthday lunch today. Excellent value for money. Great food and very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely return!

Best service.great food. Thursday night steak done to the perfection.haven't visited for a while.pleasantly surprised.staff very helpful and pleasant.and my compliments to the chef.will be back
