Elder Park reviews
50What a beautiful Park. A lovely place to go and take a stroll around with your partner on a nice night. We spent a couple of hours taking in the sights
Elder Park is one of the most famous parks in Adelaide. Various large-scale events are often held here, such as New Year's Eve performances and fireworks show. This is the widest and most beautiful section of Torrens River. Water projects such as Paddle Boats and BBQ Buoys are very interesting.
A classic Adelaide icon and the centre piece of many Adelaide festivals, the Elder Park Rotunda is likely to outlive most of us gracing Adelaide with its classic Victorian Design for many years to come.
Great place for a family day out. We went on the Popeye cruise first and then the kids went on Captain Jolley's paddleboats.
The superb place we covered evening and night times at 31st but no fireworks due to this covid a bit disappointing. Overall I enjoyed walking and relaxing at this place spent more than 2hrs.
Few of the major events happen here, like new year celebrations. This is beside oval and Karrawirra Parri river. You have free parking for approximately 3hrs on the other side of road in the intersection of king william rd and Victoria Dr. There is festival plaza tram station very near by and bus stops as well.
Oz Asia Festival. Great Location. Not Enough Shaded Areas To Enjoy The Festivities. Walked In River Gate And Straight Out King William St Exit. Shaded Areas Had People Packed In Like Sardines. Disappointing.
We always go for walks by the river and it's so relaxing. The facility is well maintained. Our recent visit was to the Dumpling market
Lovely parkland with the Torrens River to add to holiday fun. Loads of activity on the water. Beautiful day. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The entrance queue was very long since we went on Saturday around 7.00pm. A whole variety of cuisines to try. It's a good idea to carry a sheet to spread on the grass so you can sit and relax while someone from your group stands in line to purchase the food.as all the seating was full. Reasonable rates but small portions. Overall, it was a good family outing.
I could not get an uber waiting for the footy buses to leave. Seriously why block the road for that long.
Elder park is very beautiful. Located off-center in the lake is a fountain. Swans swam gracefully across the lake. When we stroll past tinkling fountains and perfumed gardens, is enjoyable.
In the heart of Adelaide South Australia. A place for families and visitors. A relaxing garden for relaxation and entertainment.
Came here for the Carol by Candlelight. Lots of people. But enjoy the performance and fireworks.
Carols by Candlelight.
If I knew the majority of content was aggressive Corporate marketing, I would have stayed home.
Most of the 'talent' beside the Opera singer on stage were unable to hit the correct note let alone uplift my spirit. Carols are Spiritual/ Religious in nature and are therefore devotional. It was devoid of any devotion. Once again ACC presents a souless experience at the ratepayers expense.
The poor production added to the disasterous sound quality. Shannon Knoll cannot sing to save himself from his tawdry reputation.
However nothing beats fireworks. After the first display which we liked, my 3 yr old son insisted we go home. And I couldnt agree more.
A great spot overlooking the river, where the grass is nice and lush and great for a picnic. There is a rotunda to relax in, but not many trees so on really hot days it isn’t ideal as no shade. Usually has some variety of things on during Ozasia festival or Fringe festival. You can get the popeye from the decking area, and there is also now DDA access to all festival centre and convention centre
Amazing place with a pergola, drinking fountain, and foot path that are wheelchair accessible. Public area which is right by the Riverbank and often is used for events next to the adelaide oval, entertainment center, festival center, casino, and restraunts, etc.
Suitable for all ages and capabilities with amazing views.
Elder Park is a beautiful spot in Adelaide. On the River Torrens, you can see ducks and swans. Catch a boat to the zoo. Walk across the Millennium Bridge to Adelaide Oval.
Beautiful Park along the river with plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the sun. Good spot for a Picknick too or just to walk around after a busy day in the city.
Beautiful scenery on the Torrens waterfront. Perfect for escaping the hustle of the city to relax, picnic or read a book.
