Dunstan Playhouse reviews
56Great venue for small performances; nicely spaced tiered seating; a little tricky to find at the moment due to construction work nearby, but up-to-date information sent by Festival Theatre re directions via SMS/Email
We were in The Space theatre and I have to mention the seats which are really uncomfortable. I'm hoping there will be renovations soon and new seats
Just took my 8 year old granddaughter to a play at the Dunstan Playhouse. It's great how it has the seating quite steep so everyone, even the kids, get a great view of the stage. Also how its not too big so everyone has a good seat. Always showing a great program.
Rows are too close, uncomfortable for tall patrons and seated patrons have to stand to let in late comers.
Very intimate theatre. Seats need to be raised and repadded as they are less than comfortable. The low seats are difficult for older people to get out of. I had to help an older person to get out of his seat.
Fabulous play.venue still a bit difficult to get to with the festival theatre renovations.refreshments good.value for money
This is one of my favourite theatres.reasonably priced and has a free entry gallery upstairs. The theatre itselt is quite compact but the vibes setting is nice
Great venue was services were great and its easy to get in and out thought Adelaide railway station the festival theatre will be even
Better when all the building is done. Went to see senior moments at the Dunstan it was a great show.
Very poor & uncomfortable seating, seemed not even bolted to the floor!
For a show like John Denver, 2 more TV screens needed so that the audience can see past the performers.
VERY AVERAGE, we should have purchased a John Denver DVD & watched it at home.
At least would still have the DVD to watch over & over again.
Cheers.
I traveled from Sydney to Adelaide to watch this drama play. Nothing disappointed. Great show great production! I wish they can have it again in Sydney. It is a great script and should be shown to everyone.
Small, intimate theatre. The seats are very comfortable and you can get a great view from every seat.
Went to see neighbours daughter in Snow White. Brilliant performance. Seats in back row but could see everything perfectly. Great afternoon and train in made it very easy.
Such great service for the disabled at the Theatre, and an awesome showing of That Eye, The Sky!
Dunstan is nice for those classic stage-up-front plays. Would've got 5 if the excellent Neon cafe bar downstairs hadn't shut
Very disappointed with the staff. They really had No idea how to find my tickets and ended up giving me just any seat they could Most disappointed
Love this place! I wish they would take a progressive leading step and reduce their plastic waste, the Playhouse has a platform and the reputation to make real change for the better in this city.
