Dunstan Playhouse reviews
56 Great show, amazing cast.
The venue was very clean, well presented. Ease of access and well signed. Friendly and helpful staff
It is nothing like the perfect animation on tv voiced by Helena Bonham Carter.
Its a musical pantomime performance which encourages vocal participation by the kids in the audience.
With that in mind it pays to listen carefully to the numerous songs and witty ditties. It takes quite a while for Gruffalo to be mentioned, a word awaited eagerly by the kids in the audience.
Silly old fox
Doesnt he know
Theres no such thing as a.
Watched 'the dictionary of lost words' what an amazing play. I'm definitely doing this again!
The Playhouse seats are looking very worn but were definitely more comfortable than the awful ones in the Festival Theatre. There was a massive line up at the bar and at the women's toilets so it could be good if they improved those facilities. The carparking is much improved now, however getting to and from the carpark was made more difficult by the fact that the escalators were not on so the only options were stairs or the one small lift.
Was great. Chilled out area. A bit tricky to find from the festival carpark. Winnie the Pooh was great for young kids and adults of all ages!
The carpark is a nightmare and don't go there if you're claustrophobic!
Smaller venue than the main Festival Theatre. It has a good atmosphere. The seats are comfortable and it's easy to see the stage from any seat.
Staff were efficient and ell organised considering the audience was over 100 school children. Great view of the stage. Possum Magic was magical!
Came to the venue for the UNESCO International Jazz Day, very impressive place to dig out!
Located at the fancy Adelaide Festival Centre area just near SkyCity. This playhouse offers high-end theatre equipment and friendly services. Definitely enjoy the night spent there and deeply indulged with the beautiful Jazz
Went there to see the Sydney Dance Company performing Ascent. Beautiful venue for the performance
The venue is ideal for people travelling on the train service Very easy access straight into the theatre Bar facilities were available and seating is very accessible and good viewing no matter where you are A very pleasant experience Can recommend
Easy to find, staff were helpful and the airconditioning was nice. The show was for the kids around me, as I took myself. The costumes were stunning
Would appreciate house lights before the show. Stumbling around in the dark looking for my seat was scary and sitting in the dark not very sociable.
Love this place! I wish they would take a progressive leading step and reduce their plastic waste, the Playhouse has a reputation of excellence to uphold and a platform to make real change for the better in this city.
The seating here is horrendous. They should serve panadeine at the bar during interval to help you get through the second act. Also very sad that the bar/restaurant underneath never seems to be open at the same time that shows are on - very poor logistics for sure.
Saw a play about Yvonne goolagong.wonderful to hear how well she was a superb Australian.she was amazing aboriginal girl then woman who won so many tennis awards
First time here. Great show. 3 Tenors. Shame one was ill tonight and couldn't make it.
Have watched and listened to a few shows at the Dunstan Playhouse. The sound quality is very good and the staff are very organised. It's always a pleasure to be entertained here.
Went to see Chalkface, a State Theatre play. Great cast, very funny. Love the Dunstan playhouse, and we had fabulous seats.
Great venue for live music. Could have more staff to provide pre event drinks service in a timely manner.
