Coopers Alehouse Wallaroo reviews
89Very comfortable modern facility on the foreshore of Wallaro with quite a high standard of decor and comfort for a "country hotel". Actually shouldn't catergorise it like that as it truly is of International standard. Great meals, reasonable service (it could be improved on) but an enjoyable visit overall.
The place appears very nice. I found the food ok but a bit expensive for what we were getting.the staff come across not welcoming and a bit rude we felt like a burdon to them.the manager was very accommodating with our concerns though.
Just had lunch at the Ale house today. Can honestly say i have had better meals. Out of 9 people only 2 commented that the food was ok. Wont be back any time soon
Food came out quick, and service was welcoming, could improve on the kids mini cheese burger, looks nice I ate it but kids didn't.the kids pack is a fantastic idea.nuggets got eaten, we ate there a few times, first round of oyster where delicious, the next day.wasnt the same, still ok, loved the chicken schnitzel yummy gravy was yummy, great value for money with quality and fresh,
Restaurant disgusting. Filthy food splattered venetians & table not clean.food OK. But over priced for what was served. A dress code for dining room should be enforced.
We will not return.
Meal order did not go through waited over half hour all we were ofered was money back or free drinks
Could be such a great place if people smiled a bit more and they really need to look at better menu options always bland or something is always missing from the dish
Nicely decorated place, our meals were well portioned but bland flavourless and well over priced as were our drinks, $15.30 for one RTD and a small glass of postmix soft drink is enough for us to go spend our money elsewhere.
Great location, fab views, decent food with veg options, only thing we would say - be more consistent with food quality (lunch ok, dinner good), aim for great and you have a winner. Friendly staff!
Fantastic location! Fast friendly service with a great atmosphere. Plenty of different spots to unwind including the front bar, beer garden overlooking the marina, sports bar and the dining room with full wall window views of the marina.
Meals were reasonably prices, wood oven pizzas were a winner and the seafood Plata was EXTREMELY fresh and tasty.
Will be sure to return next time I'm in Wallaroo.
The menu was diverse but with a big variety of seafood dishes. The meal we had was delicious, well cooked and although expensive was nevertheless worth the money. The dining room is excellent, nice and clean with lovely views of the Wallaroo Marina and North beach in the distance.
Will definitely return.
Not a bad place to enjoy a beer on the waterfront at Wallaroo. At the time we were there eftpos was not available at the bar however there was an atm in the gaming area to get money from to purchase drinks and food.
Ordered seafood platter & chef special ‘pork ribs’ today to share, seafood was ok; however, the ribs smelled and tasted like lamb. We only had one bite and my husband took it back, let staff know it’s lamb as I don’t eat lamb and he’s not a big fan of lamb either! One of the male staff had a look of the RIBS and insisted it’s pork. Ended up my husband has to finish the lamb that he doesn’t really want by himself! What a great lunch date!
Food was great,
Got a bread roll and wiped my plate clean.
And great view and great service.no complaints.
Very poor that you cannot get anything to eat at all between 2: 30-5: 30pm. You keep serving alcohol so food should be a must. Dissapointing for travellers. Also bar and waiting staff need some good training. Service was poor, no smiles, no meet and greet, tables weren't cleared for ages etc. Overall very dissapointing.
Could be improvement in food quality. I.e. Had stuffed capsicum which was nice but could have a sauce on it so not so dry. Especially for cost of just one stuffed capscium on a plate. Should take a trip to barossa to see good price gormet food.
Lively location with pleasant marina views. Food was above par for pub food and decent Cooper's beers to choose from makes this a good location for dinner or lunches when visiting Wallaroo or nearby towns.
Great view on the marina. Decent food and of course drinks. Live entertainment is also part of the fun
A little bit tired but overall nice place. Has pokies, bar, function room, alfresco area and live bands regularly. Would love to go back in a peak period to see it in full swing!
A few happier faces behind the bar wouldn't hurt. Great views and outdoor area. Its a shame they have such a poor range of craft beers especially when the Anglers just around the corner can serve you up a can of Pirate Life IPA or Prancing Pony Red Ale for around 10 bucks.
