Coopers Alehouse Wallaroo reviews
89 I eat here quite regularly and always enjoy the meals and service, and I'm slowly going through all the menu options.
Tonight I chose the Grilled corn to start with, absolutely delicious. And for my main the VIETNAMESE CHICKEN SALAD which should have had -
Shredded Chicken, Pickled Carrot, Cucumber, Wombok Cabbage,
Sliced Capsicum, Coriander, Mint, Fried Shallots & Peanuts with Nuoc Cham Sauce
Sadly, it was a fail. Too dry, couldn't see the pickled carrot, or taste the Nuoc Cham sauce or mint. I squeezed every drop of juice from the sliced lime to help give some moisture, but the flavour just wasn't there and still too dry to enjoy. Maybe it was menat to be like that, but I have had Vietnames salads before and they are usually full of flavour nd moisture. I couldn't finish this one because it was too dry.
To the credit of the waitress, I was offered something else but I declined.
One bad meal won't stop me coming back, but I do hope that this was just an off day.
Seafood combo was fantastic, reasonable prices. Calamari was some of the most tender I have had. KG whiting was spot on. A little busy due to holiday period however food came out promptly.
Stopped in on schnitzel night, schnitzel came out very quick but definitely not the best Mexican schnitzel I have had. Actual schnitzel was was fine but topper was average. Handy location if you are staying in the accomodation next to the pub
Food good, noisy environment however the senior wait staff was exceedingly rude and did not seem to have any customer service skills. The younger staff were fine but certainly aren’t getting role modeling. Given it wasn’t busy, and the meals are on the expensive end it’s not acceptable
Amazing venue.ate here twice whilst in the area for the Yorke Peninsula Field Days!
Quick service.even with hundreds in the venue and my husband said the best oysters he has ever eaten!
We didn't book, and they were able to serve us.plenty of beers on tap
Excellent service, friendly staff, and food was quick and tasty. Smashed chat potatoes were very good. Have been before, and will definitely go back.
What a great location for pub. Spent the afternoon on the deck with lunch and a beer. Food is fantastic and staff super friendly!
Excellent meal cooked perfectly and presented well, the staff are friendly and the prices are good. I have no hesitation in recommending Coopers Alehouse Wallaroo for your next meal.
Unfortunately 2 of the bar staff let this place down badly. The tall thin dark haired guy and the short stocky grump were so rude we ended up leaving after one drink. There were 2 other young lads working the bar that were excellent but the two that took our pizza order need to be shown the door! I wouldn't waste a dollar there again that's forsure.
Very crowded. Staff were very good, polite and prompt service. Had flathead which was spoilt by very very oily batter.
Quick service, quality food with marina views.
Veg burger, Fillet Mignon and King George Whiting were amazing
We dined her twice during our stay in Wallaroo. The first night my partner had Beef Parmi and being a Senior it was far too large for him. I chose the beer battered flathead which was spot on. Following evening we both had crumbed garfish which was delicious.
Beautiful place to grab a bite, dined in restaurant and bar area, and was equally impressed. Well spaced, clean, and well presented. Staff very friendly, patient and accomodating to requests. Will definitely return.
Amazing food. Fantastic friendly staff. Gets very busy but they handle it professionally. Great location. Well worth a visit.
Wasn't the best dining experience I have had, the food I had was very ordinary for the prices charged
Not great, don’t order bao buns terrible lobster rolls taste fishy I hope we don’t get sick… snitz are ok but no seasoning also would be nice to actually have garlic on the garlic bread. Coleslaw old and tastes bland
Such a beautiful spot. Was my families first time in wallaroo. After reading reviews for the coopers ale house we gave it ago, was really looking forward to the brisket, sadly I was let down the gelatinous fat between the layers of meat didn't have a chance to melt through out the meat. The taste was delicious but the meat sadly wasn't where it could have been. My partner had the flathead, that was stunning, my children had the fish, nuggets and burger which all tastes really nice. Staff was fantastic! Will give it another go when we're back in the area
Had very nice food when we ate out there. Really enjoyed our beer and gin tasting. Great atmosphere.
Was unimpressed. I wanted it to be good but was left disappointed. Prices and reviews suggest it’s worth it but would recommend the boat shed over coppers ale house. The steak was ordered medium rare and was well done, chips order came with mayonnaise not aioli. The kids gf options was a cheese burger and nothing else else. There wasn’t specials (was one but was essentially one that was a large piece of steak served amongst 4). The chicken burger was ok but not great. We were all left disappointed.
On a 40+ degree day the beers were cold, Ac was pumping and the vista was spectacular. Never been inside and everyone was friendly and relaxed. We will be back for another visit and probably a stay based on the quick visit.
