Concubine reviews
77Went here in a group; food was excellent; I'm not usually too fond of calamari but theirs was perfect. Good cocktails too and good friendly service. Highly recommend.
First time eating here and it's easily the best restaurant in Adelaide. The fusion cuisine offers a wide variety of dishes that are prepared beautifully. The staff are amazingly friendly and care about the customers. The restaurant is filled with fantastic Asian artworks and decor. Definitely a must-go restaurant.
Love this place. Chef has a lot of love for what he does and it shows on the plate. Authentic flavours. Fresh produce. Generous serves. Wait staff with smiles. Recommended for a romantic night out to remember.
This place comes with a big reputation and is highly thought of from speaking with locals - my experience was a little flat, service was adequate but not great, food was very good but not 'wow'. Wine list acceptable. Perhaps my judgement was weighed by excpectation and it fell just short.
Great place with tasty food and friendly staff. Definitely worth checking out if you're after some good Chinese food.
New review - great food and service, ordered chrysanthemum service and everything was delicious and more than enough for our party of 10 to eat
Absolutely beautiful food and service. Most humble and lovely staff/ waiters we have ever experienced. Great prices. Go for it, you cant go wrong. Thank you.
Excellent service and friendly staff, but most importantly the food was absolutely delicious! Full of flavour and cooked very well. Would definitely come here again for the quail and mahjong chicken!
We had a group of 20 and they were very accommodating. Sat upstairs which was a little more private. The $50 banquet was just the right amount of food. Lots of nice starters and a few mains. Then a simple bowl of icecream for dessert. Food was flavorsome, not spicy at all which suited some of the guests and we ordered a bowl of fresh chili to spice things up. Friendly staff, good service. Cocktails were nice as well.
Crispy Pork Belly with Chinese style pickled vegetables and mixed vegetables were excellent. Unfortunately, all down hill from here. The Whole crispy Robarra barramundi with a dry red curry lacked flavour. Fried rice seemed dry as if been reheated.
Dear owner, your service and staff are excellent. Please don't reuse the fish back bone for presentation. Just serve the Robarra freshly cooked on fresh lettuce or similar.
Thanks Mark
Great food, excellent and attentive wait staff, got to love the crispy soft shell crab. Not a cheap meal but a classy one.
Popular place for corporate dining. Modern presentation of food and a trendy psuedo Asian vibe.
However, every dish we'd ordered was simply average, at best. Most lacked a finesse of flavours and technicality. Prices are steep, too.
For proper Chinese, there are much better ones around town, but Concubine is clearly catering to the western corporate market where service and ambience is more important.
Great food everytime, but wooden chopsticks would be helpful, plastic makes it near impossible to eat rice and noodles
What a fantastic meal. This place deserves their local reputation. The food was sublime with that great explosive effect of different tastes in your mouth. Really good service and atmosphere. Highly recommended. A tip would be ordering multiple entrees and share them like a tasting menu.
The food was good but not amazing, and somewhat overpriced for what it was. I wouldn't bother going back.
Fantastic restaurant.went there for Father's Day last month - there were 7 of us and we had the banquet which was fabulous. Service was good, couldn't fault it. Hubby loved it that much that we are going back there for his 60th birthday celebrations end of October.
One of, if not the best, Chinese restaurant in Adelaide. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing culinary experience.
