Concubine reviews
77Great food. I highly recommend the salt and pepperes squid. Don't waste it on an entree, ask for a main size. Literally amazing.
The decor is beautifully authentic, the staff are very friendly, welcoming and gracious. The food is simply amazing. Dining at Concubine is an amazing experience. Love it every single time. Our family favourite.
Wonderful tasty food with very friendly staff highly recommend definitely will become a regular
I try to visit this restaurant every time I'm in Adelaide and over many years have never been disappointed. A recent visit with guests was again a taste sensation. We ordered multiple dishes and shared tastes. Could not find fault or decide what we liked most. Service was excellent and the bill, which included wine and beer was very reasonable. Thank you Concubine, will be back the next time I'm lucky enough to come to Adelaide.
Fantastic food and lovely service. A little on the pricey side however the portions are very generous and the food really is delicious. We ate here three times during our recent trip to Adelaide and highly recommend!
A real benchmark in modern asian cusine.
Some real exciting and perfectly executed menu items with some set selections that really tickle the taste buds, time and time again.
The dumplings are amazing, and the service to match. One of my fave BYO venues where there is no compromise on standards.
Very disappointed, had a banquet meal asked for no spicey or capsicum dishes every dish except plain rice had capsicum, crook for 3 days.
Special Chinese new year menu. Didn't really know what to expect, but the food was good, unique and delicious. Friendly staff and attentive servers are great as well
My boyfriend and I came here for NYE dinner and everything was spectacular! We asked if it was possible to include the peking duck baos on the set menu and they happily accommodated. The set menu included dumplings, fried barramundi and pork belly and a lot of smaller appetizer- type dishes. We loved every dish, the portions were huge and the service was super fast and attentive. Would highly recommend Concubine to anyone in Adelaide looking for fancier Chinese food.
Terrible. Barramundi with green mango salad on the specials menu - fried, dry, days old and tough.
A delightful experience - we arrived on a Tuesday evening to a restaurant buzzing with laughter and people enjoying a good night out. Ushered to our table and promptly served with menus - the service was warm and friendly (Jenifer and Cecil made us feel at home). The restaurant is nicely decorated and has an upmarket feel and prices were real sable. The food was delicious and authentic - serve portions were fine and each dish was meant to be shared family style. The lamb ribs and the pork belly were standouts! The wine menu had enough variety and overall we had a great evening. Keep up the good work! Reservations definitely recommended. We’ll definitely be back when ever we visit Adelaide!
Our first time here. We found the staff friendly, knowledgeable & very efficient. The food was excellent & generous servings. The drinks menu was more that adequate, fairly priced & caters for all tastes. I'm more than comfortable in recommending Concubines if you've never been & we'll certainly return! Deserves 4.5 stars, not quite 5.
Great experience. The staff are so nice and made sure I felt comfortable in my choices as I am allergic to seafood. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend, next time I’m in Adelaide I’d come back here
Came here with a friend and my partner recently. Delicious food with great service and a really cool vibe. We were seated on the second floor and it was cosy without feeling crowded.
I shared a lovely meal with my family to celebrate our uncles birthday. The service was great, the staff were lovely and very personable. We even received a surprise birthday sweet of sticky date pudding. The barramundi, shallot pancakes, beef cheeks and long beans were amazing. Couldn’t recommend more. Very suitable for large groups!
Food is consistent in taste and quality. Staff and management are friendly and accommodating. Nice setting, clean and well maintained.
Fantastic Chinese food. We enjoyed a large variety and it was all really yummy.
Had a mocktail as well which was tasty.
Service was really good.
Food was great Limited non-alcoholic options list and reasonable prices. Would recommend this restaurant for a reasonably cheap and cheerful Chinese meal.
I love the food at Concubine which is why I eat there regularly, and order takeout from them at least three times a month.
I ordered takeout tonight and paid a substantial amount of money for my order with my friends. It has now been almost two hours and neither Deliveroo or Concubine are contactable.
This has been a terrible experience and will ensure that the $5000 on average that I spend with Concubine will now be directed elsewhere.as I am sure that the many friends that I have will do the same thing after I share my experience
It is rare that I post a negative review. If you are going to offer an on-line service, understand that it affects your brand at a bricks and mortar level too. Deliver or don’t offer the service
We had our meal upstairs in the banquet room and it was really nice! There was a great selection of food which tasted amazing. We will be back for sure.
