Clovercrest Hotel

Nice pub with good service and a largish selection of food. Quality is generally very appealing. Prices are average. The decor and surroundings are quite pleasant without being too loud or overdone. Excellent wheelchair and walker access at the front. Kid friendly.

We called into the Clovercrest for lunch. Unfortunately we forgot the time & arrived at 1.30. With some trepidation we sat down, but our fears were groundless. We were greeted with genuine friendliness, were provided with menus & chose our lunch - grilled fish, chips & salad for me & schnitzel, chips & salad for my friend. My fish was lovely. Moist, cooked & hot. The schnitzel was well cooked & presented too, & at $15 per meal, the food was good value for money. We were also offered a second course, all included with the very reasonable price. All in all, if you are in the NE looking for lunch you would have to go a long way to beat the Clovercrest for value.

I highly rate this hotel. Great atmosphere clean the staff a very polite and efficient at what they do. The food was excellent I would definitely come back again

Enjoyed the meal, the venue was quiet, carpet on floor soften noise allowing people to have conversation while eating.

Lunch today for the wife and myself was excellent and staff very friendly and efficient. We will be back.

Had our wedding reception there on Feb 12th and couldn't say anything bad. The room decorated beautifully, the food was excellent. Ainslie and her team were amazing. Highly recommend.

Kitchen opens at 5: 30 and by the time order arrives to you its 5: 50. To order one pizza for 10$ wait period is 50 minutes. Why to such promotions when your kitchen doesn’t open until 5: 30pm.

On top of that the person working in front of house also doesn’t share information that kitchen opens at 5: 30.

Might be good food but didn’t got chance to eat anything. Please remove that promotion.

A lovely Christmas lunch here on Thursday. 48 club members enjoyed a nice meal, choice of 2 mains and 2 deserts, bread rolls and tea and coffee for $27. Great service, lovely decorations. Well done Clovie!

Well I finally managed to have a meal here. I'm impressed with the portion sizes and the service. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had garlic bread as a starter, which was oh so scrumptious. For the mains we had Garlic Prawns with salad as well as battered fish and chips and salad. The fish & chips was a very generous serve. The garlic prawns were nicely done, but I found the sauce was a bit oversalted and of course my pet peeve, the prawns had their tails on. Also there were only 8 prawns, where, for the price there should be 12 prawns. But other than that I found the meal really good & the service good too.

Had lunch here on a Friday. I had the lambs fry. Delicious. Could have eaten a little more but it was beautiful. My husband had the German sausages. OMG! The meal was huge. Three large sausages. Mashed potato and sauerkraut and mustard. Great lunch specials. Seniors are well catered for.

So I'm a regular at this place and tonight was shocking. I know people have bad days and are angry but if you're dealing with customers try to act happy. Coming from a hospo family I know the right way and you guys are just disappointing

Wow, just wow bar staff barely legal, have no back bone and can't make a simple drink. Needs a staff overhaul big time. Food was good hence the 2 stars. Music was good, just shut down at 12am on the dot. Would recommend lunch or dinner there but if you want cocktails go elsewhere otherwise drink at your own risk

Unfortunately I came down with food poisoning from the Salt and Pepper squid. Won't be going back!

The service was good accept one person name Anna she did not smile at all OMG when i purchase the lottery, i thick on the wrong line, she not happy to explain it to me, the way she service i really want to throw the ticket in the bin in front of her because of her bad luck give to customer, i hope the manager talk to her if they read the rewiew. Otherwise they will not have many customer to go there and play games.

Honestly was very nicely surprised by the dinner here. What a gem. We had from the specials and our first time. Honest good food. And service was also very pleasant

The worst meals. 40 minute wait for 1 tiny piece of grilled fish served cold and to tough to eat, the chips were also cold The veg was good. Other meal, 6 pieces of salt and pepper squid. Some pieces were the size of a 20c piece.
It was also all served cold. Both meals were basically unedible. Seniors should not be treated as second class.

Great food & service! Trivia Night on Thursdays is free to enter.and the Quizmaster is very funny & entertaining. Family-friendly!
