Citi Zen Restaurant reviews
63Good food, well priced. Friendly service and have a big enough space to book out for small company functions.
Expensive, but the best Chinese I've ever had and very attentive staff. Yummy. Soft Shell Crab unbelievable.
Bad service, food is okay sometimes, if you ask for anything that isn't the cheapest for them to buy and sell to you for the most you will be ignored, feels like money laundering and cheap labour.
Tasty variety in sumptuous yet economic banquet. Reastaurant is "conversation-able" which so many eateries cannot claim. Therefore, lingered longer. Inobtrusive service by considerate staff. Most pleasant experience!
Amazing Mongolian Beef as main meal. 5 stars for that alone. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff
Best Dim Sum place in Adelaide. Loved the food served on carts, just like the old times. Loved the dessert food cart. The pace was good and so many different choices!
FIVE STAR: food, service and dinng experience (spacious seating, feels comfortable)
Have to say the best yum-cha in town (Adelaide). Can't compare with Guangzhou, China those original, high quality n classic Cantonese yum-cha (which shouldn't cause so far apart). Price Is reasonable. Weekend car parks all around. Worth a family or friends trip!
In my opinion this is the best yum cha restaurant in Adelaide, staff is super helpful and friendly, variety of food here, worth to give it a try. Highly recommened.
Can't fault the food or the service. Salt and Pepper Crab was the standout dish tonight though.
Peking duck: dry
duck meat fried rice: rice is as hard as rock, Jamie oliver probably cooks better Chinese fried rice
Broccoli and scallops: bland and tasteless, scallops seem to be in the freezer for more than a decade.
Egg yolk crumbed Prawns: 7 SML size Prawns sitting on a bed of sad looking 'salad'.
My question is: was my food cooked by a kitchenhand?
Chefs could not be bothered?
Fantastic decor and excellent menu with traditional and modern choices. Friendly, attentive staff make you feel very welcome here. Photos are ‘Salt and Pepper Lobster’ and ‘Mango Pudding’ (selected by everyone in our group).
The best thing about this restaurant is that it is spacious and tables spaces comfortably far apart.
Worst thing is the customer service. Waiting staff are overworked, and the boss lady (?) at checkout will not accept entertainment card on a day that was not a public holiday. It was Chinese New Year Eve, and she said that's counted as public holiday. This is against the terms and conditions.
The food is very average for a Chinese dinner and ok for yum cha lunch, not the best in Adelaide.
Pretty awful sadly. Scallop dumplings still part raw and lovely sandstone wall next to our table was absolutely filthy.
Decor is superb. Definitely stars rated. Food selection is good but the Culinary art and combination of favour requires to work on in improving. Not unique enough. Hope to see better.
Beautiful food, very fast service, however a little expensive. Staff seemed nice too, however language barrier so didn't speak much.
Gorgeous dumplings, amazing crispy duck with pancakes, very efficient service and hilarious sounding karaoke from the back room. Loved it. They should do a food deal in combo with the hotels they own. Adabco and Mayfair. Missing a trick there!
Best Chinese restaurant in Adelaide, tasty food especially the fantastic lobster, elegant atmosphere with good service, must visit when in Adelaide
Citi Zen has to be the worst Yum Cha I've ever been to. It all started from the moment I walked in. No record of my booking, not that it mattered as there were plenty of amply tables, the lady greeting was very unfriendly with zero eye contact. Once seated, we waited 15mins for any offer of food. After waiving someone down we asked for some dumplings. In a very disinterested tone, our waiter asked which ones. Taken back by his tone we asked what do you have available? He listed our options and we decided. Once received they were stone cold and so the journey continued. Lack of service, extremely poor quality of food and poor menu variety. Our bill was literally thrown at us with no eye contact or parting remark. I can see why they weren't busy and will never return to this establishment again.
Extremely over priced. The food is soooo salty is it barely eatable. I will say this a “White people Chinese restaurant”, the food reminds me of Panda Express. If you are looking for real Chinese food then this is not the place for you.
