Citi Zen Restaurant reviews
63Citizen is a spacious restaurant located in the CBD. Having been on multiple occasions their food can be a bit of a hit or miss, fresh and great on some days but on others lacking in quality and freshness. Overall, I would say there are definitely better yum cha places in the city that are more consistent with their quality.
Went for Yum Cha and every meal was cold, only thing hot was the pot of tea! Second time this has happened, not going for third time lucky!
Paid $70/hd and was far from full. Very disappointing. I cane with a family of 10 and all of us left unsatisfied. I can’t say I will visit again.
Spectacular food, comfortable venue. Service can be a little slow as they are consistently full and busy, but staff are accommodating and the excellent food makes up for it.
Food was good. Service was annoying & zero customer service. Came for lunch yum cha all you can eat. Waiter kept coming to confirm our orders after its been written down clearly. Also told us, "make sure you can finish eating all your orders" weee her exact words. Good atmosphere. Zero for customer service.
Check out at the door and pick up the old lady, are you a manager or an old employee. You have the worst service attitude in the whole hotel. What are you holding there in a butterfly dress with puff sleeves? Go to work honestly and be friendly. Some old women are like this. They have experience, so the service attitude is extremely poor. Hate. As soon as I got to work, I yelled: Oh, there are more waiters than people eating today. When paying the bill, I just took your bill and went to settle the bill without saying a word. Are you dumb? What
The food at Citi Zen was fantastic however, unfortunately it did take the staff 40 minutes after ordering to inform us that one of our entrees was unavailable. Aswell as it taking an hour in total before we received our food on top of two of our dishes being completely forgotten. The staff was very kind and friendly and it was disappointing that such an issue occurred. We received fortune cookies at the end of the meal as compensation which was very sweet.
Most of the food was good.
Staff were unsure where we were upto in our banquet. Either really short waits between dishes or really long. Dessert was a 40m wait from our last meal after asking about when it was coming. Half the dessert came before the other half and ended up affecting The experience. We were looking to leave before the banquet was over. Had to reorder our drinks.
Again the food was nice, but the service needed a lot of work
Went in for dim sum brunch
For those who are familiar with the concept of waiters offering dishes before the customers before dlthe customer decides what they want, I'd say this is pretty lacklustre in terms of the number of eating staff available. Service could make do with improvements in awareness of waiting staff of patrons and must do for each table when seated.
Went in as a pair of customer, didn't get as much attention as I would like in terms of getting the setup of the table such as tea and condiments. It took up to three waiters to get all these.
Food carts don't approach us as the table gaps are not optimal and only a handful of waiters coming out of the kitchen with dishes offered us anything.
Only after having about seven dishes after half an hour that a waiter offered to get us a menu list, which before this we had to use our own knowledge of dishes available and whatever dish that waiters push out from the kitchen. I even mentioned to a waiter that I would like to order more food seeing that food aren't getting pushed out in front of us, I wouldn't know what is available to order, and I don't know there is actually a menu (order list). Even then we had to wait for another 10 minutes to find out one of the items we ordered aren't available. It took another 15 minutes waiting for the rest of the order, as we are ready to leave at this point we asked to cancel the order and the waiter told us that we can't since it's already been prepared. It took another 10 minutes to get an item to our table.
Had the sweet & sour buramundi so good, not one bone presented whole. $70 but feeds 2 to 3. Entree Peking duck nice and satay chicken nice.
10 out of 10 for this restaurant! Absolutely fantastic beautiful tasty food and the service was impeccable.could not believe how will this place is managed.such friendly staff continually attending to us, non-stop for the whole time. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough we had the best time ever. Lovett
This is one of my favourite restaurants especially for yum Cha. I always have a good experience every time I come here. We celebrated our son’s birthday here for dinner and it was great. All the staff treats you like you are a royalty. They really know how to serve customers. The food also is delicious.
Delightfully tasty, bit expensive but very enjoyable. Great customer service, fantastic atmosphere, underfloor fishtank in the centre.
Becareful not every day/night is Yum Cha, example Sunday dinner is Menu only. We didnt realise.
Yum Cha was lovely for meat eaters. They said the food was amazing! Selection was fantastic.
I let them know I was vegan but no one knew upon arrival and then by the time I got my food an hour+ passed and I was eating alone. Only 4 options available too.
Upmarket yum cha experience. Avoids the frenzy of Gouger street. Parking is relatively easy on weekends. In a pub no less! Good variety of well known dishes with a few new ones.
Nice food, but our table didn't get too much attention (food cart) when we came for all you can eat Yumcha, had to stand up and wave to the waiters to get them to come over.
I ordered minced pork with long beans. What I was served was a plate of cold, oily, stringy, tasteless beans. I found a teaspoon of mince under the beans in a puddle of grease. No offer to take this off the bill. They didn't care.
Food are good, even though they can do better. Not a complaint. The staffs are helpful without giving an sense of been left out. Keep it up!
Came here on a wednesday morning for all you can eat dimsum buffet. Despite the several bad reviews listed here, I'd say that I had an overall good experience with the buffet and the food quality is pretty on par with other reputable dimsum restaurants in the city. Service did get a little slow after more people came in, but it was understandable
$6 for coke. Two drinks in a can cost us 12 bucks plus a sunday $6 surcharge.and then the yumcha doesn’t state prices. Turns out a 3pc hakaw is $8. Well overpriced and they don’t taste fresh. Yum cha is meant to be reasonably priced.
Empress yum cha is better value and quality than this place.
$86 total for a few dimsums that tasted like it came from the groceries.
